I'm a practicing Internist medicine physician. BEWARE who you take medical advice from. Pharmaceutical sales are not doctors. CNC is not a recognized professional degree. Doctors are not idiots and we don't get bought out as the author thinks. Treatments are always based on risks vs. benefits on best evidence based studies available .

About CNC, Certified National Consultants. Anyone, including my cat, can be a CNC. The AANC (American Association of Nutritional Consultants) is a joke, they state that certification as a nutrition consultant requires passing a self-DJ 4DM1Nistered open-book exam and paying a fee to take the test, much of which deals with vitamins and supplements. The AANC have issued professional memberships to a dog and a cat after their owner, Dr. Victor Herbert M.D., submitted their names and paid a fee for them!
