When the guy hugs that man who saved the girl at the end.... oh god that hurt
User avatar #23 - Silver Quantum (06/04/2013) [-]
right after the guy manages to save the kid at the end, and you see the black guy hugging him, it was such a pure and genuine feeling of appreciation and respect, that for a brief moment it made me forget racism existed.
User avatar #26 to #23 - jimimij (06/04/2013) [-]
Racism is a lot less frequent in real life. It's the people with nothing better to do that stir up the hatred.

i teared up!

It's a great video, but I could knock together an entire season of 30 minute episodes, no commercials, entitled "People are Dicks" in about a week.
User avatar #51 to #48 - ctenop (06/04/2013) [-]
It would take you that long?

quite difficult to feel with a pair of tits in the corner

what is that and why is it there
User avatar #8 - Lintutu (06/04/2013) [-]
why don't they ever put guard railings at the subway/train stations???
User avatar #20 to #8 - pickstar ONLINE (06/04/2013) [-]
They did in two of the subway videos.
#43 to #8 - John Cena (06/04/2013) [-]
people will just climb over them, most in the video are suicide attempts, even many that look like a simple misstep.
User avatar #11 to #8 - cleverstupidity (06/04/2013) [-]
a guard rail would prevent people from getting on and off the train.
User avatar #19 to #11 - Lintutu (06/04/2013) [-]
they can't have those turnstiles on them?
#35 to #19 - selfrazedzealot (06/04/2013) [-]
rlly guys? im a jedi when I walk into the grocery store. im pretty sure they could make rails that open and close automatically
User avatar #72 to #35 - shaneac (06/04/2013) [-]
The problem is that the trains don't always stop at the exact same spot, so the position of the train's doors would be different each time
#44 to #11 - John Cena (06/04/2013) [-]
Not a prob, just use a computer to start/stop. And if it wasn't for peoples suspicion against a computer controlled subway they could use it all the time.

And if that doesn't work just use a camera on the outside of the train for the driver. Pulsating floor would also work to gain the attention of people when they are near the edge.

"You know who the real heroes are? The guys who wake up every morning, and go into their normal jobs, then get a distress call from the commissioner, take off their glasses, and change into capes and fly around fighting crime. Those are the real heroes."

Oh my god. I cried at the end.

Couldn't feel with that ******* music in the background, like it's some sort of action movie. People help people in the tim of need, it's natural.

Except for some people, but those are douchbags...
User avatar #73 - cosmohill (06/04/2013) [-]
Man, I work with kids, and the last one gave me all the feels in the world. What a ******* champion. It's all well and good to learn it in practice, but it is hard as hell to do it under pressure in a real life situation. Props to that dude.

people should REALLY learn how to CPR and treat chidlren & infants
#54 to #46 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
see if you knew about children the updated first aid post means you can't do CPR on infants and it causes more damage than is needed, just do rescue breaths and also the child is choking so bang on his back once then rescue breaths no heimlick manouvre (think thats how you spell it) so that guy done the right thing
User avatar #56 to #54 - cantremember (06/04/2013) [-]
on infants, 3 rescue breaths 1 pump with both your thumbs above the xiphoid process on (i recently left medical school, but before i did we had First Aid)
#57 to #56 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
i was told not to do that because it does more damage and as they're infants dont have the stuff to fix it so you just leave it to the profesionals who have the gadgets
User avatar #58 to #57 - cantremember (06/04/2013) [-]
we had those" real life dummies" to play with, and on infants, it died 98% of the time when we did NOT circulate it's blood by pushing GENTLY AS A ************ , but still enough to circulate the blood. The brain needs to be oxygenated, the brain tissue will die in about 5 minutes without oxygenated blood, unless usual circumstances like cold temperatures (below core temp).

#60 to #58 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
i know that in dummys terms i know about oxygenated blood heart pumps it etc but from what ive been told you shouldn't do it unless you are 100% certain what to do and my level of qualification means i dont and if i kill a baby doing it i cant be protected by my certificate but i mean anything that will work i suppose its better to say i tried and be prosecuted then say i didnt even try
User avatar #62 to #60 - cantremember (06/04/2013) [-]
it's better to try than let the child die. but you are right though, it is a very tricky situation
#63 to #62 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
id just hope someone else with a better quolification is there, although i have had this situation before luckily a slap on the back got it out
User avatar #59 to #57 - cantremember (06/04/2013) [-]
younger humans tend to be a bit more resilient because the body is not finished developing and therefore it tends to be more efficient in repairing itself and finding other ways. Just look up Dr. ben carson, a neurosurgeon specializing in children, he talks about this alot.
#61 to #59 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
either ive been told wrong or idk but i was told that at a young age the bones arent formed enough to break so instead they bend and you can't fix a bent bone easily so its better to leave it
#71 to #61 - shazzshabam (06/04/2013) [-]
Yes, you've been told wrong. You either use two fingers, or two thumbs instead of the whole hand, because obviously, their anatomy is a lot smaller than ours.I know this because I watched my father attempt to resuscitate my year old brother. The medical team used the same technique when they arrived.

#79 to #71 - tobloi (06/04/2013) [-]
Pay fair enough, I hope your brothers okay
User avatar #80 to #79 - shazzshabam (06/04/2013) [-]
No, he died. It was many years ago, but thanks man.
