A Union woman was charged with attempted murder after police said she was caught on camera shooting another woman. Officers were called out to the scene at West Henrietta Street Wednesday afternoon after a reported shooting. Witnesses said the shooting happened on Tillman Street at about 3 p.m. According to the Union Police Department report, a witness told investigators that he shot video of the entire incident.
Police said the video showed 49-year-old Sherry McMorris pulling a gun from her purse and firing at the victim before being taken to the ground by people nearby. The victim suffered injuries to her leg, according to warrants. McMorris was charged with possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and attempted murder.
