They're actually wearing latex gloves, so it really doesn't matter what tools they left behind.

Usually when thieves plan something like this, they steal the tools. Its not their fingerprints all over it. Its gonna be someone else's.

Evidence, now they can easily track where he bought it from, and can know his name or how he looks like, or who bought it for him and what is their relationship to him.
you shouldn't leave anything in a crime scene.

you buy something with cash, they cant trace it. and also, sledgehammers are bought every day.

Everything you buy is written down in date and time in the shop's billing notebooks, even with cash, so they just go and ask the person who sold it.

i repeat. sledgehammers are bought every day. thats like finding a t shirt at the scene and going to abercrombie and fitch and saying "HURR DURR WHO BOUGHT THIS SHIRT" everyone bought that shirt. your arguement is invalid.

I'm sure these were the actual smart criminals who thought about doing it and practiced, along with researched how. These guys obviously knew exactly how to take it apart and not a single person got in another person's way. THIS is how you become a criminal. Spontaneous gunpoint acts is not being a criminal, it's being stupid.

I was just expecting something different. You usually just see some video of a couple of rednecks put a hook connected to a truck on the entire ATM, and then they just drive away with the entire thing in tow. These guys were impressive. One of them kept watch, one of them broke open the machine, and one connected hooks to the actual safe door. They didn't get away with much, but that plan was fool-proof.
