Look, at any point you inject ink into the incubating egg there's health risks. I've talked to people who owned chickens and noticed the significant life span difference between dyed chicken and natural chickens.

And yeah i'd say injecting chemicals into an incubating ANYTHING is probably a bad idea...

It's not ink they're using, it's food dye. It's completely harmless stuff and all it does is tint their baby fur, which gets shed when they grow in their feathers. Many farmers use it as a way to distinguish and separate certain breeds of chicken from birth.

No man, they dye them in the embryo. In a lot of countries ( mostly ones in Asia ) these are like goldfish. People buy them for their kids, the kids love them for the first day, but then a day later they stop caring and feeding them, and they die. They do the same thing with ducks.
