This is a video of the live demo that was at ION GNSS 2012 September 17-21.

Using 17 YEI 3-Space Wireless Sensors and 3 3-Space Wireless Dongles motions from an actor can be applied to a mesh in real-time and can be used to interact with a virtual scene.
Adding a HMD to the suit allows for an immersive first-person experience with head and body tracking.

Seeking low latency WIRELESS head mounted displays.

Endless gaming possibilities!

Except, ya know, if you want to walk more than 15 feet with your character...

They actually made a big ball that you step inside and walk around in. It rolls but remains stationary relative to the real ground. It's often called a "virtual reality hamster ball", but the technical term is "virtusphere". It's like a treadmill, but you aren't limited to only one direction.

I thought about something like these months ago its all great and all but what can you do if you have to travel larger distances than the room and that cable should be the first thing to get ridden of. it just limits our movement

what if you're standing in a tube and under you there is a ball that turns when you walk?
