How dare they hold him safely and securely over water for a few moments.
Because it's obvious this dog doesn't know how to swim, and is in life threatening danger.

It's not like they held the dog over a pit of AIDS-filled needles.

Putting a dog into water so that them mimic swimming is actually a widely used method in order to increase leg/paw strength.

My dog broke both of her front legs when she was a puppy (at different times) and the vet instructed us to teach her how to 'swim' once the bones had healed because she would have been weak and needed to build up strength again and the motion of that was perfect.

I don't think the guy would have held the dog over the pool if he did't think it could swim. It's not animal cruelty.

I'm pretty sure that's a natural reaction that's pretty universal between dogs.

Don't worry about the red thumbs, I agree with you. By the red thumbers logic, my parents should be able to drop me off in the middle of the forest somewhere and I would have to fend my way out. I can probably find my way out by walking, but it would be fucking terrifying. Just because someone does something nice, that does not give them the right to do something mean.

I'm all for the ethical treatment of animals. But idiots like you give the whole idea a bad name. The dog was NEVER in ANY danger at any point of this video.

My dog thinks it's funny to run as fast as he possibly can in circles, then bolt forward randomly, crashing into whatever object, furniture, wall he hits first. He loves the reaction it gets out of the household. Everyone gasps, expecting him to hit the floor unconscious. But he just sits there, panting and smiling like a dumbass looking at all of our shocked faces, then goes again for round 2... or 3...or 6.



But holding an animal like this will instantly crush all his/her bones and cause major organ failure. It'll also give the animal AIDS.
