One Step Away from Victory

I've been skiing on several occasions, so I can assure you: One does not simply stand up after falling down with skis on. It's very difficult.

We go skiing every year in Norway, for months at a time, that being said, I've been skiing more than just "on several occasions". And you do in fact, simply stand up after falling down.

At least we do. I admit it poses some.. difficulty if you're not accustomed to skiing.

Unless you're in a similar situation as the poor fella in the picture.

I did not mean to sound smug, wasn't my intent at all.

The point he was trying to make is that it's difficult to stand up. Which is why he made such a fuss about SIMPLY

I understand the point he was trying to make, and I meant no offense. But as he himself said he's gone skiing on several occasions he ought to know it's not that hard to get back up - but I digress, might be completely different reasons as to why someone falls down.

it depends on where you are. if your on a steep hill you're fine. if you're on flat it's a bit of a challenge. even on a snowboard it's a bit of a challenge, especially if your on your back with your head facing downhill.....

yes i go skiing annually and consider myself an advanced skiier and one does simply stand up after falling. sometimes it can be difficult but a few seconds of repositioning and you're up

Uh, the snowskate pictured in my OP is called a Bideck Snowskate. I prefer one's with longer skis, so I have an easier time going down the mountain, but they also hve shorter skis for tricks and stunts and stuff.

i had one of those but for some reason i could never get it to stay on top of the snow it just kinda sank and got stuck

I'm no expert, but perhaps your ski didn't have slush wax on it, or the ski was too small...
