the only part I didn't like was how he said she was a member of the worst. generation. ever.

That's bull

The people who ruined are country are the generations before us, her (my) generation has just been left with the duty to clean up the shit that was left behind from the last few generations, we haven't been around long enough to fix or ruin anything.
User avatar #337 to #293 - triggerhappywolf (06/27/2012) [-]
rebeca black and bieber havent been around for long and they FKed up music.
User avatar #345 to #337 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
No, they didn't fuck up music. Yeah, they're shitty musicians, but that doesn't take away from the fact that there are still plenty of good musicians out there.

No hunny, our generation is fucked up and dumb ..... there are a few geniuses but nope our generation is pretty much screwed
User avatar #325 to #322 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
our generation is not any worse than the generation before ours when they were our age, we have yet to mature and you can't base your opinion on how a generation will effect the world when they havent even matured...
User avatar #300 to #293 - CakeOrDeath (06/27/2012) [-]
I have to disagree with you sir. The generation before us was that of a hard-working, no bullshit kind of people. Our generation is ungodly lazy and is quite literally flushing us down the poop-shoot. Did the generation before us have to deal with politicians who were such PUSSIES that they would simply ignore a pressing issue (i.e Gay marriage, Abortion) because they were afraid of what the public would think? No. Those motherfuckers slammed their fist to the table and spoke the fuck up. Pound for pound, the last generation probably made the world a much better place, while I have yet to see ours come through and really do something that made me sit back and say, wow. I sure am glad I was around to see this shit go down. Now you might ask, what is something like that previous generations witnessed? I don't know, maybe coming together as a country, and virtually taking down an entire regime of Nazis in order to save millions from slaughter. Had I been alive in the time, I would have just felt good as a person to witness the ratification of an evil of that magnitude from the Earth. But no, I get to witness this generation stuff its face with McDonalds and get fat and die from Diabetes. What a great fucking life.

The baby boomer generation is the generation that currently holds the most power throughout the united states. Any current problems should be put on them, and not the generation that consists mostly of kids who are still in college, and hold no power in the world. How can any of these problems be put on us?
User avatar #310 to #305 - CakeOrDeath (06/27/2012) [-]
The main problem the baby boomers brought out was the overflow of people wishing to recieve Social Security, while there wasn't enough people putting into it for the amount to balance out. This all came from our governments absolutely genius idea to take trillions out of the Social Security "melting pot" if we may call it that. (This is where I'd put Genius.jpg if I had it) It is not the baby boomers fault they are so vast in number, it is our fault and more blatantly our governments fault for fucking with the system which was working fine before they took money from it.
User avatar #332 to #310 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
The baby boomers are the ones who currently run the united states. Everything that is being done in our government is being done by the baby boomer generation. Every good and bad policy, all of the fucked up laws about gay marriage, immigration, taxes etc. etc. is being decided upon by them.

They're the ones pushing this country in the wrong direction, not us.
I can't say whether our generation will be good or bad for the country, we will have to wait and see what happens when the majority of this country is being run by our generation
#299 to #293 - zaphodcoolfrood (06/27/2012) [-]
Having been raised by the said worst generation we are definitely in the running.
User avatar #295 to #293 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
I respectfully disagree. Our generation has accepted the status quo. We've been around plenty long to fix things. The boy that threw the grenade that started WWI (and thereby WWII and other related wars) was 14 years old.
User avatar #302 to #295 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
How have we been around long enough to fix anything? The majority of this generation is still in college, and holds no power in politics or business.

How can people in this generation fix anything when our ideas are constantly shot down by the older generations. They think of us as dumb college kids who have no clue how the world works, we haven't been given a chance to do anything yet we're being labled as the worst generation ever? how does that even make sense
User avatar #316 to #302 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
Like I said. 14 year old boy. THREW A GRENADE AT THE ARCHDUKE AND STARTED A WAR. THAT, my friend, is how you make change.
User avatar #323 to #316 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
No 14 year old would be stupid enough to do something that would start a world war... That kid was an idiot if anything
User avatar #326 to #323 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
He knew exactly what he was doing. He had missed his first chance to get him and luckily got another shot. He was a member of the Serbian Youth, which was an offshoot of the Black Hand, a resistance group against the Austro-Hungarian Empire and their mistreatment of acquired states.
User avatar #368 to #326 - nycdood (06/27/2012) [-]
You do realise that Gavrilo Princip got LUCKY on that second attempt. The driver of the car that carried Archduke Ferdinand made a wrong turn that brought them in front of a then resigned Princip. The dude was drinking a coffee at a coffee shop when Ferdinands car pulled up in front of him.

P. S. Using Princip as an example of greatness is fucking retarded. He died in prison, and he caused the the First World War which set the fucked up course of the rest of the 20th century.

Without WW1, Germany (a nation that didn't start the war) wouldn't have been economically ruined, which wouldn't have led to the rise of Nazism, which wouldn't have lead to the WW2, which wouldn't have lead to the Soviets conquering half of Europe (and gaining imense military power), which wouldn't have lead to the Cold War and the the tens of thousands of nuclear weapons we have today.

Fucking 14 year olds...
User avatar #372 to #368 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
Bahahaha! Glad to see someone enjoys history as much as me. You're right. He got lucky (didn't want to bother with detail, just make a point), and he did fuck shit up for everyone. HOWEVER.... My point (maybe I didn't state it well enough? my bad) was that he DID change the world. For better or worse, a 14 year old changed the world. The potential is there.

But, like I said, you're right.
User avatar #384 to #372 - nycdood (06/27/2012) [-]
I suppose I understand what you mean. I just think you could've used someone else. Anyway, it's nice to see others are into history as much as me.

Indeed, Sir! Perchance I----dvgnjklasdnglasdnvgfuck the funny reply!

Dude, you're from NYC? Moving there in like a month. As kick ass as I expect it to be?!
User avatar #391 to #390 - nycdood (06/28/2012) [-]
It depends: What do you expect it to be like?
User avatar #392 to #391 - ArkansasDave (06/28/2012) [-]
Like all the cool movies. Stuff is open 24/7, always something to do, huge mishmash of cultures (really, spellcheck? Mishmash is a word, but my name isn't?) so there's tons of neat stuff. And bitches. Lots and lots of hot bitches.
User avatar #394 to #392 - nycdood (06/28/2012) [-]
Stores are definitely always opened, so you can get whatever you want at pretty much any hour. There is always something to do, but you have to find it. There is cultural diversity here, but don't forget that NYC is the five boroughs: The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Manhattan... You go from borough to borough, neighborhood to neighborhood, and you'll see all kinds of diversity. I mean, if you're in the upper eastside you probably wont see it that much (aside from resturaunt owners), but it's definitely here. As for the females.... Yeah, you'll love it here. You're gonna have to mesh around a bit to figure out your vibe, but there's plenty of pussy to be had...
User avatar #402 to #394 - ArkansasDave (06/29/2012) [-]
Two words, buddy. Fuck and Yeah!
User avatar #351 to #326 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
either way, that has nothing to do with the way our generation is effecting the country.

We can't do anything because a different generation is currently at the age where they control the u.s. and we won't be able to make significant changes until we are in that position
User avatar #355 to #351 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
I feel like this is my fault for not being clear enough.
Ahem.
Grenade.
Car with idiot who's fucking shit up for everyone.
Put the two together.

Now, I'm not saying we should all go blowing up politicians (that would be awesome), but the fact is, if someone wanted it to change enough, they would do something drastic to make it happen.
User avatar #359 to #355 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
I know what you're trying to get at, but it's still completely irrelevant.

We don't have the ability to do anything drastic because it's just seen as college kids being idiots. That's how we're seen by the older generations, dumb kids in college that have no idea how the world works.

No matter what we try to accomplish, or how crazy it gets, we will still be shot down by the generation that is currently running everything
User avatar #365 to #359 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
Ah, now I see what you mean. I still feel that if a drastic enough measure was taken, no one would think it was just some 'dumb college kid'. But, differing opinions. Sad that only old people get to make the rules, eh?
User avatar #366 to #365 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
yeah, it is pretty sad
User avatar #311 to #302 - ilostmyoldaccount (06/27/2012) [-]
WHICH FUCKING GENERATION ARE WE ALL TALKING ABOUT!?!?!?!?!?!
User avatar #319 to #311 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
The generation that mostly consists of kids in college. People who were born in the 90s mostly.

That's the generation that the guy in the video called the worst generation ever
User avatar #318 to #311 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
25ish and younger
User avatar #330 to #318 - ilostmyoldaccount (06/27/2012) [-]
thank you, i am 18. and yes, my generation is crap. BUT, those who are destroying the image of America will eventually destroy themselves seeing that those above the age of 25 are either in a good job/completing a higher education or broke, homeless, and have 9 babies from 4 different dads because shes a stupid slut.... making way for those who persevere and work hard and do what needs to be done, as the face of our generation. i think thats why we always seem to look at older generations as better ones. because its literally survival of the fittest. social Darwinism...
User avatar #340 to #330 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
I agree with everything you said except for the part about our generation being crap. We're young, and we're different from every generation that came before us. But so was the generation that came before us.. and the one before them, and so on and so forth.. They were all in a stage where they were young and different, and the older generations talked about how bad they were when they had yet to be given their chance to take control of the country and steer it in whichever direction they saw fit.

We won't know whether our generation is crap or not until we control the country
User avatar #346 to #340 - ilostmyoldaccount (06/27/2012) [-]
good point, but at my school it just seems that way.... good in class, but total fucking retards in the real world...
User avatar #354 to #346 - TigerShark ONLINE (06/27/2012) [-]
And they're no different than the kids who were in your parent's generation when they were that age, or their parents, etc. etc.
User avatar #333 to #330 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
That's a pretty legit take on things. But in order for this Social Darwinism to work, we have to agree, as a society, to let people die for their stupidity. This means cutting off welfare checks, food stamps, maybe even forced birth control. I'm more than willing to do that.
User avatar #338 to #333 - ilostmyoldaccount (06/27/2012) [-]
i agree with that, but we can't just wake up one morning and press the "off" switch. not only that, the social welfare is designed for those who have basically had bad luck, or just can't work due to reasons out of their control. plus its only short term, just to get that person up and running with a job to support themselves. but we should be more picky on who gets the food stamps and such
User avatar #350 to #338 - ArkansasDave (06/27/2012) [-]
Right, but a total skag can just keep getting pregnant (I live in Wisconsin and this is a SERIOUS epidemic here, sad right?) and they will keep her on welfare her whole life. AND they pay enough for her to have a baby daddy mooch off her too.

I have actually met people whose job description was "don't work". Like, "Oh yeah, my uncle Jeff, he don't work, bla bla". Like that's their career path, "don't work".
User avatar #356 to #350 - ilostmyoldaccount (06/27/2012) [-]
yeah, pregnacy is unheard at our school, but the majority of the class im graduating with are jocks who all think they can just smoke pot, and bevome a nfl player, however there are afew smart football players though, 4.0's and great friends of mine
