whatever your taste is, i'm just putting my opinion out there that they have ruined the music industry and brought it down to a level where no skill is needed. only autotuners and laptops.

so was i, i wasn't trying to argue.
But now you've got me rolling so hear me out.
I like the classic music, from bach to nirvana to the prodigy and eminem, and i still like the music that's being made now.
Sure there's a lot of crap, but thats just because there is a lot more exposure, in the old times you couldn't just go on the web and listen to some random guy's music.
All of the music that was availible were bands/artist who mostly were legitimately good and therefore got themselves a contract at some big publisher.
Now we have music artists ALL over facebook and twitter, so we're bound to have a greater stream of new artist.
But it never really was about skill, it's more luck of knowing the right people, getting the right gigs, that kind of stuff.
For example: i've met a lot of different people, each of them had killing skills, awesome shows, but never really got through, while at the same time some kids who were at my school just one day felt like strumming an instrument randomly and got a contract at universal records just because one of the band members had a rich dad.
This has always been going on, and as long as there's money, there's success.
And as it unfortunately turns out, you don't really need much skill to be success.

that's what i'm trying to say. (I'm not sure on my next statement so you could ding me for it) The music industry used to be about having skill. Now it's just about low life degenerates that make crappy music and bring bad influences to the kids of America and basically anyone who'd listen to them. Not only are they providing bad examples in their music, getting kids (i'm talking about youngins 5-13) into things they're not ready for. Not only that, it shows them that you don't need to work hard in life, that you could do something as simple as creating rhythms on a computer or just talking and having a machine change your voice for you, as long as it's sexually and vulgarly explicit that is, to become "successful" in life. Personally i believe LMFAO are scum.
