I've seen this in Miami. It's actually pretty clever

i don't see the genius side to it, what was the idea of using a another car to push the stolen car?

I'm guessing the guy stealing the car doesn't have the key and doesn't know how to hotwire it. That in and of itself is pretty stupid though, if you're going to be stealing cars at least learn how to open the door lock and learn how to hotwire it.

but hotwiring takes more time and is much more obvious. For stealing a car in public, just jimmy the lock like he did and hold down the clutch to roll away. They probably wouldn't be going very far anyways

Not really, this is most likely going to be seen by the police, and when they're getting pulled over due to hazardous driving, the officer's gonna notice that something's up. So in the end, pretty bad idea.

no, the cops will just think they lost the keys or ran out of gas. And if they do get pulled over, just say you lost the keys. They'll most likely leave you alone or even assist you after that. If not, good luck
