ragingbrony ONLINE (05/05/2012) [-] I use Camstudio and GIMP (you need to have downloaded GAP with GIMP to do this)
Camstudio is used to screen record, the program is pretty self explanatory on how to use.
Once the avi file is made and saved, I open GIMP, and to make a gif using GIMP...

>Split Video Into Frames
>Extract video range
> Click the " ... " button to browse for an avi file (which is what camstudio files save as)
> Click "Video Range" and select the frames you want.
> Set Audiotrack to 0, and make sure "create only one multilayer image" is selected
> Click OK, and you now have a picture in front of you with many layers to the right.
> Save As, and make sure you Physically type ".gif" at the end
> Select "save as animation"
> Select the speed of the gif via "Delay between frames where unspecified" (setting it to 65-70 is about the speed of what video runs at)
>Select "Use delay entered above for all frames"
AND SAVE!
