Just google Dolphin rape, it's not really a huge surprise. Dolphins are one of a select few of species (like humans) that have sex for pleasure and not just for reproduction. Males will gangrape one female dolphin, and they also target other species. I'm not saying they're vicious, I'm just saying they do it from time to time.

I agree with it seeming stupid apparently it's a real thing though. Dolphins often kidnap other female dolphins from other pods to rape them. The act is not limited to dolphins. Other marine life as well as small groups of divers are targeted.
