It surprises me, that not any of the Americans are going to stick up for themselves. I am American, and although I know tons of people in America are pretty stupid, I know that it's not just America.
There are stupid people in England, in Australia, in Canada... There is stupid people everywhere.
Everyone has their bad stereotypes. Not EVERYONE in America are dumb idiots who hold shotguns and eat McDonald's everyday. Seriously? You are the idiot, if you actually believe that crap.
BLEH! I am a girl, I am underweight, I like to believe I am smart, and I am not ashamed to say I am an American. I love my country, even though I know we make mistakes, I know we are trying to pass SOPA, and I know that there is some dumb ******* idiots here.
THOUGH, I will NEVER say I am ashamed to belong to this country. I am American, And I am proud, because I refuse to be ashamed of what I am, because other people don't like what I am. That's just plain stupid.
Don't be ashamed of who you are. Seriously.
Just because there are stupid people in your country, and because your country has bad stereotypes, doesn't mean you should automatically hate who you are.
England supposedly has crooked teeth and drinks tea with the queen,
Australia is supposedly filled with rednecks who go crocodile hunting, and say Mate a lot.
Canada is filled with people who love maple syrup and say Eh after every sentence, and also play hockey.
Japan is filled with people who have small dicks and love tentacle porn.

Everyone has their stereotypes, their bad images, and stupid people flaunting around like they know everything. No country is perfect.

In short, Be proud of who you are, because you shouldn't hate yourself because nobody likes what you are. Everyone has their bad stereotypes, and idiots running around in their country. I am American, And I am proud, even though the previously posted Americans hate themselves for it, doesn't mean I'm going to.

Red pinkie me if you wish, I don't give a damn.

I'm sorry that people think you are a retard because you are in a wheel chair, and I know a lot of people in this country are very.. close-minded. believe me, I know. I just don't think you should group a whole country together. And I wasn't saying that I believed the stereotypes to be true or anything, and I wasn't trying to bash on the other countries, because, I have several friends from other places, and I know they are good people.
I'm just saying, that not all people in America are horrible people.

Plus, the people on the video were a select few among a ton of other people who were asked the questions, and the more... unacknowledged people were chosen for the video. If you did that in any country we could make them look like idiots.

And Australians are really welcoming and open-minded eh? You are grouping what you know from a few people in each country, and making it seem like everyone in that country are amazing people. My dad is an Australian, and guess what? Open-minded and welcoming, is probably the opposite with him being a homophobic, racist, who cheated on my mother and can't remember his own kids.

And when you say that you aren't trying to say all Americans are scum, you contradicted it with you saying they don't care about anyone but themselves. I care a great deal about the other countries, I'm simply asking for you to not try and make Americans seem like horrible people. :/

Meh. I've just seen a lot of hate on Americans lately, even a few days ago there was like... a trillion things that made it to the front page that were all hate on Americans. At first I laughed at all of the stereotypes on Americans because I knew they weren't true, but they got really ridiculous, and they were posted so much to the point where they aren't that funny to be anymore.
And I'll be honest with you and say that I know not a lot of people here really care for what the government says and all of that because in my sister's words; 'Our government can be really stupid sometimes.'
I'm not simply sitting here and saying I'm Proud! I'm Proud! Dur dur I don't know where the white house is located dur dur.
this was actually one of the very rare times I decided to put in my opinion, which was me saying that you should be proud of who you are, because I saw so many people saying they are ashamed. Having idiots in your country doesn't make you an idiot, so why be ashamed? Having them around doesn't make you an idiot, nor does it make your whole country filled with idiots. It just means that your country is average, because no country is idiot free.
And the reason I stated I was proud like... a trillion times because I was really frustrated at the comments on how everyone was assuming that all of America was like this, when it really isn't.

I think so..? If so, it wouldn't surprise me too much.
Anyways, I agree with you that it's sort of sad that not a lot of people know about the United States, when they live there, and we should have more patriotism. But, with some of the bullying that's happening, it's harder for younger people here to learn.

It's pretty easy to go around a country and ask basic questions to everyone you see, video tape it, and edit it so it only show the ******* retarded people answering incorrectly. They could do this for every country. I will say though that there are a lot of ******* idiots here.

The thing is that they cant do that in every country. They asked some pretty basic questions and even a 9 year old should know most of them.

I live in the US.... I'm so ashamed.
But I loled at the triangle answers and the KFC one and apparently Star Wars is a true story.

Oh god do I have to agree with you. The only thing keeping me from shouting at my computer screen was the fact it was the middle of the night. I don't want to live in this country anymore.
