So how did he individually move his feet?

i believe that the top half is a guy with no lower abdomain but there is still the problem with the legs. If there is a midget underneath then where his knee caps would bend would be much lower. If it is a midget on stilts then how would he be able to move his feet like the way his toes are facing, also how would he be able to shuffle its almost impossible to shuffle with stilts.
