Deaf girl hears for the first time ever.
Uploaded by: cuntmuffins
This 29 year old has never heard anything before in her life. And 8 months ago she had surgery and has a listening device and can hear everything now. Can you imagine what that must be like?

I think that this is really nice. But one thing stood out for me.
When she holds her hands in front of her eyes, the doctor asks her: "Can you hear me?". And she nicks yes. But how could she know what the doctor was asking her if she wasn't looking at her hands.

My gf had that too, it's called a cochlear implant. she speaks incredibly good yhough, for never having heard anything...

Doctor: Okay, I'm gonna play some sounds before and I want you to tell me how well you hear them.
*starts playing "Friday"
Deaf girl: ....take the device out....NOW.

hmm if this is legit, than thats pretty cool. my only concerns are deaf people don't speak that good, specially someone that has been deaf all her life. just doesn't make much sense.

How can she speak English? Fucking bullshit lies. People who are deaf are able to read but aren't able to imagine what the words actually sound like. It would take months if not years to learn how to SPEAK english.
but were the deaf people born deaf, unable to hear what a word sounds like, thus being unable to speak. i have a neighbor who has been deaf for 15 or so years and she can barely speak beyond jumbled yelling, now imagine never being able to speak in the first place. its like being born blind and somehow getting vision again, you can't just know if something is red or blue without someone telling you first and teaching you.
