that last one with the independant pieces reminds me of the Replicators from Stargate.

Oh, wow. That is SO cool. I'm on my school's robotics team, and I can't even IMAGINE how hard it would be to make something like those. I wonder how much they spent on that robot with the independent-moving pieces.
