my normal barber shop got closed down recently, the rent on the property was too high for the guy to keep his barber there, so i had to find a new one.

tried a "salon", it was unisex, high priced, which didnt bother me, but the hairdressers were female only.

anyway, i walk in and ALL of them start whistling and goin "oh my hey there stud/ looker/ handsome" etc etc.

i snorted naturally being out of their leagues, but still, i didnt feel the sudden oppressive mass of uterus juice being pumped in my direction, i saw idiots, who didnt know how to actually converse normally and resorted to the lowest common denominator of language choice.

so with that in mind, remember, most men, surrounded by men, the bubbling of testosterone ignites a chain reaction of exponential dick measuring, you think being called a stripper is a simple act of degrading you because you are a female? before you walked in i'm pretty sure they were discussin who had dropped the biggest **** , or who's dad hit the hardest when he was drunk, or how many guys have attempted to have sex with them even though they arent gay. this is the mans world, opressing women isn't in their purview, the boistering of ego, most certainly is.

Same goes for the hairdressing troupe fresh off the circus du soleil, i doubt they even gave a **** about making me feel uncomfortable, or annoying me or even if i would take them up on their cock hungry offers, they were just communicating in a language they would all understand, being aggressively sexual, for the sake of comedy or whatever.

for the record, i find the social circle jerk of narcissistic cum swapping to be a waste of time, seeking peoples approval is useless when all you have to gain stature, granted if you are going for that job promotion then all bets are off. but damn some people can really go to crazy lengths to be popular, it borders on psychotic.

man it feels good to be an asshole. i know i'm not alone.

I support her in that regard, though. It's not being anti-man, it's pretty much the reason that the women's rights movement began.

**** that opinion, though. Right?

Look, I'm just as sick of unnecessary politically correct ******** as everyone else--probably more so--but I'm a dude and I'd be pissed if some prick I never met called me something-just-short-of-a-whore on my first day at work, too.

There's a difference between being above ******** and being a pretentious douche for its own sake.

For a long time I thought it said "Wedding job" and was really confused as to why a stripper would be at a wedding and why she herself would be questioning people questioning her.

Once I realised it said welding I became confused as to why this has any thumbs at all? Are we making fun of her for actually standing up for her rights to follow the career path she wants without being belittled based on her looks. Because if that is what we are doing then this is what actual feminists as opposed to the feminazis we hear so much about on this site are fighting against. Gender inequality in it's purest form.
The world will be a lot better if we stopped judging people based on things like colour/gender/race etc and one step toward that is stop tarnishing all feminists with the same brush.
Yes some take it too far and are complete monsters and believe feminism is the promotion of women over men, but the majority are just regular women who don't want to be constantly judged on the fact they have big tits or a nice ass.
Not all muslims are terrorists, not all blacks steal bikes I even heard there was one black who didn't like KFC but it could just be a rumour and not all feminists are psycho men-hating lesbians.

Sorry for the rant but sometimes it seems like the level of fedora wearing neckbeards, who have never so much as touched a girl and therefore have huge resentment of them and find any excuse to rile up the rest of us with stories that are most likely ******** anyway, outweighs the people that are just trying to have a laugh and get along and make this site what it should be; A place of hue

Sorry again, rant over

Also inb4 "Found the feminist" because A) I'm a guy so I'm not just some girl with her knickers in a twist and B) if by feminist you mean someone who believes women and men should be treated equally then HELL YEAH I am a feminist. Bring on the red thumbs

This is one of the situations in which I side with the chick with the "I need feminism because" sign. Lots of people like to forget that real feminism isn't about hating men, but just wanting people to stop being douchebags to each other on the basis of gender

Welding with long hair without a protective hood? Welding without a protective jacket? The gloves say MIG or STIC. The only thing shes going to be welding is all her skin burns. And that just doesnt even make sense

Lagertha in the first season undoubtedly did more for the feminist cause than the feminist club at my school. Also favorite character in show.

In my opinion, many women deserve respect that isnt given due to many peoples views of how women are because of their looks most of the time.

Feminists really don’t have a sense of humour whatsoever at all. It's not exactly sexual harassment or anything, it's just banter that you'd get in a typical male dominated workplace.
User avatar #251 to #246 - schmitty (03/19/2014) [-]
That's actually exactly what sexual harassment is. Being harassed either in a sexual manner or because of your sex.

she is not a welder.... if you look closely. 1 she does not have any marks on her gloves. 2 no marks on her helmet and 3 you don't wear fuzzy flannel to weld it catches fire. myth busted she is not welder. i should know i am. also before anyone goes thats sexist. the women welders i know don't where make up because apperently it collects soot from welding so you look even dirtier with out makeup on.

I can't tell if serious. I see welders wearing flanel all the ******* time.

it's still not very nice... Imagine if every time you went to your nursing job someone called you a fag? You can take it, but it's not great...

because of the light text coloring on the light background, i thought that it said "wedding job", assuming that this girl worked in wedding design/ planning (which made me wonder about the equipment).

in that case, the only reason a person would even think about saying that to her, would be if she dressed like a stripper to a wedding. and i thought, well you dressed inappropriately to a very formal event, you will turn heads.

but then i noticed it said WELDING job. and then my train of thought arrived at the station, that she was in some sort of construction job, and her fellow construction workers were taunting her. and if what she is wearing in this picture is what she wore to the job (granted it looks a tad bit loose and can be a hazard to her own safety, especially around machinery) she was in no way out of place.

she isnt asking for much, she isnt asking for respect where respect is not yet earned. she is asking for legitimate disrespect that is unwarranted to stop.
it would be the same if you were being bullied at school for being a nerd.

this isnt your "respect me because i have a vagina" or "shut up cis scum, we want control" type feminist. this is just someone who doesnt want to put up with assholes.
