The issue isn't the actual use of the word, it's just the fact that "le" adds nothing funny. About 2 years ago, 9gag and Reddit put le in every ******* thing they could get their hands on, and it's become some kind of mega cancer. So big, that it's actually funny to parody "le" now.

Le is always translated as "the". The problem is that the opposite is not always true due to the adjudication of gender to genderless stuff like tables or chairs or cars.
