I really don't see what the big deal about Borderlands was, honestly. My friend told me that it was an awesome game, and that he'd think I'd like playing as a Siren. So I went to Gamestop and bought GOTY edition for like thirty bucks. I start playing it, it was eh. I'll just throw in that I don't like the art style too much. As I advance, I start getting a lot more guns. The problem is, all of the guns are the same thing. Aside from the obvious differences, one has a scope and one doesn't, one is semi-auto and one is full-auto, they're all the same gun but with slightly differing names. It feels like there's no variety when it came to gunplay. The land is bland and uninteresting, (for the most part) most of the enemies are redundant, but if I have to say one nice thing about Borderlands, it's that the powers do change to game to an extent. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'll break back into it in a little while, but still.
This is probably going to induce buttrage, so this is just my opinion. Does anyone else know this feel/

It was the same, although I kind of liked the art style.
All the guns were essentially the same, none of them strayed all that far away from ballistic shells.
I played as Mordecai (cool sniper with a goatee and a hawk, what's not to like?) and my combat essentially boiled down to snipe, wait, snipe, get caught, go full auto until they all die.
The ending was a complete waste of time. All that effort all that time spent and you get to fight a somewhat interesting final boss that was easy as shit to kill once you figured out how and you never even get to go to the vault.
I might get borderlands 2 if it's cheap enough, I'm not going to get it as soon as it comes out.
