I really don't see what the big deal about Borderlands was, honestly. My friend told me that it was an awesome game, and that he'd think I'd like playing as a Siren. So I went to Gamestop and bought GOTY edition for like thirty bucks. I start playing it, it was eh. I'll just throw in that I don't like the art style too much. As I advance, I start getting a lot more guns. The problem is, all of the guns are the same thing. Aside from the obvious differences, one has a scope and one doesn't, one is semi-auto and one is full-auto, they're all the same gun but with slightly differing names. It feels like there's no variety when it came to gunplay. The land is bland and uninteresting, (for the most part) most of the enemies are redundant, but if I have to say one nice thing about Borderlands, it's that the powers do change to game to an extent. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'll break back into it in a little while, but still.

This is probably going to induce buttrage, so this is just my opinion. Does anyone else know this feel/

It was the same, although I kind of liked the art style.
All the guns were essentially the same, none of them strayed all that far away from ballistic shells.
I played as Mordecai (cool sniper with a goatee and a hawk, what's not to like?) and my combat essentially boiled down to snipe, wait, snipe, get caught, go full auto until they all die.

The ending was a complete waste of time. All that effort all that time spent and you get to fight a somewhat interesting final boss that was easy as shit to kill once you figured out how and you never even get to go to the vault.

I might get borderlands 2 if it's cheap enough, I'm not going to get it as soon as it comes out.

They're changing it. But due to previous disappointment I'm probably not throwing my money at it.

It's probably going to start at 60 bucks. If it ever gets in the $20 price range I might get, but only if I hear some good reviews by people who's opinion I trust.

I was thinking i was gonna be cell-shaded fallout but less serious I was dissappoint that and the end blew horse balls

Exploring in Fallout is like five-billion times more fun than exploring in that game. From the start I didn't think it'd be great.

Id give it a 6/10 unlike others whom would say 9/10 or 10/10
User avatar #89515 to #89511 - goldenpotato (07/24/2012) [-]
Exactly, I fail to see why others like it so much.

I'd say probably 5.5 would be my rating. Needed more variation, in everything.

it appeals to the CoD crowd

Really? I guess that is true.
User avatar #89544 to #89523 - aiur (07/24/2012) [-]
think, mediocre story almost all guns feel the same, all guns shoot fairly same ammo, and its easy to play in short bits

I disagree, but are you playing alone or with your friend?
User avatar #89476 to #89472 - goldenpotato (07/24/2012) [-]
Most of the time I was alone. I played with a friend for a bit, but it didn't change much.

Yep. I didn't like battlefield 3 at all.
User avatar #89545 to #89501 - ferrettamer (07/24/2012) [-]
Did you like other Battlefield games?
User avatar #89559 to #89545 - Timmietim (07/24/2012) [-]
i liked bad company 2, i just usually dont like online fps with a few exceptions.
User avatar #89578 to #89559 - ferrettamer (07/24/2012) [-]
I felt the same way. But that might be because on Xbox, in BC2 people could actually play, but everybody in BF3 is garbage at the game
User avatar #89582 to #89578 - Timmietim (07/24/2012) [-]
i dont play xbox, i torrented it for pc because of previous statement.
User avatar #89505 to #89501 - goldenpotato (07/24/2012) [-]
