Well guys. I applied to the site, was fully interviewed, then they dropped a delightful bombshell on me.

They said that because they were so poor that they couldn't pay me or ANY of their writers, it would have essentially been free labour on my part.

I'd ALSO have to shut down my own little site, which despite it not earning me any money or even being that good, it's still mine and it's still important to me.

So I declined. Anybody got some other sites I could apply to?

Game reviewing is kind-of a bum deal(Or so some friends tell me...). A lot of the time you'll be asked to finish a long game(Like say Fallout 3 or Dragon Age) and then make a review up in about 3-4 days...

I write video game reviews. Being disabled and unable to get a job I figured I'd try and maybe land a career writing video game reviews, however the first place I applied to laid out the above conditions, to which I wasn't happy with, and declined the "job".

I'm now on the hunt for another promising site that I can apply to.
