So guys, I'm suppose to be designing a video game for a project (not going to be made, thankfully or sadly is up to you), so what do you think of it sofar:

Set in a alternate history Europe, with a sight steampunk taste to a Victorian era. The game moves through France, England, Germany, and ends in either Sweden or Poland, depending on the player's actions.

The main character is an 18 year old woman that wears a crimson cloak, and a pure white mask. Whenever you make a kill without being spotted by your victim she will whisper to them in French as she kills them (things like "Let your blood drain", "Sleep now", things like that)

However, the main focus of the game will not be killing or violence: killing people and damaging environments will cause the guards to become wary, eventually resulting in a raised alarm, increasing the senses of all enemies.

The player character will be able to hold her own in direct combat, but will be too weak for this to be an advised strategy.

Instead you are far more encouraged to explore the environment, gaining many tools to do so along the way. Such as a grapple hook that can be attached to window sills, taunt or loose ropes, which allow the player to pull people and objects towards them, swing horizontally and/or vertically around things.
Arrows can be used to attach rope between two points and used to swing freely.
The player character herself is very agile, able to climb easily, run along walls for short distances, or even up walls, and other things of the like.

The game will focus on fluid movements and really allowing the player to play the game they want to play it.
However, every action taken will effect other levels and many will change the plot, allowing for much replay due to the dynamic nature of the levels.

A lot of the naming and plot borrows from childhood stories such as "Little Red Riding Hood", "Three Little Pigs", and the like.

So... thoughts?

i do like the idea, i think female protagonists are few and far between but this certainly seems like it would work, however as another commenter has said, it sounds a lot like assassin's creed, with elements like the fluid movements, the agility, the siding with subtlety and silence rather than brash, open combat, and even the cloak.
That being said, i think the setting is excellent, and the fact is that just because two games are similar, doesnt mean they wont do well (look at Battlefield and CoD - both similar concepts; shoot people in battle situations, however both also have uniqueness and have sold incredibly well), and i certainly would buy this if it came on the market, having played all the current AC series myself.
I also like the end bit, and definitely think that if pulled off, using childhood stories' names would add a good atmosphere to the game.
Just my opinion :)

As a French guy, i unfortunately see too much resemblance with most 19th century stories,

I mean, not to diss your story at all, but Cartouche, Comte de Monte-Cristo, Arsene Lupin, The woman in black from the 3 musketeers, etc.

It's just been done so much, in about half these stories either there's a masked vigilante or assassin.

Thanks for your input!

It's not going to hit the shelves or anything, so you don't have to worry about enduring another round of the same-old-same-old.
I just chose France, as it makes a nice nation-hoping starting point.
