I suddenly have an urge to play Fallout 3
I played FNV, then bought Fallout 3 for £3 when I had too much to do, so it never got completed. Fuck, I didn't even get to the first town. With the bomb.
I'll need you guys to explain things to me. What's better about it then FNV? (At least try and be helpful. Don't just say everything.) What's worse about it?
Which is better, unarmed, melee, guns? (I used both in FNV, but I also enjoyed both.)

Speaking from personal experience, Melee and Unarmed are not that useful in 3... I honestly can't think of a situation that Melee or Unarmed would suit better than just the Combat Shotgun.
As adzo said, Small Guns and Energy Weapons are the best to use in that game. Small Guns for early to mid game and Energy for late. Big Guns aren't really that useful. You don't run across them that often, they're fairly expensive and (Excluding the Fat Man and M.I.R.V.) aren't all THAT better than Small Guns.
If you want to have a lot of money, than get Barter and Repair up to 100 quick. Just hoard, repair and sell everything you don't really want. Caps are somewhat harder to come by in 3 than in NV.
Also the atmosphere is a lot more dark and depressing in 3 than in NV, and that's a plus in my book...

Fallout 3 has a much more apocalyptic feel to it. Not much is different from FNV besides the location. If you wanna make a good all around character, I'd choose Small Guns, Repair, and Medicine. That way you can have good health, gear, and damage. At least thats how I'd always play.
