When it comes to Dark Souls, subduing your rage is a lesson that you must learn on your own. Because nobody is going to be able to prepare you for the things in this game that will make you flip shit.
The first time you're invaded by an online player and they murder you right outside the boss door you're going to feel like throwing your monitor through a window.
Demon's Souls was a all around harder game than Dark Souls. The game actually got harder the more you died because your deaths changed the world tendency. Black world tendency made enemies do more damage, have more health, and just made every level an all around God-like challenge for anyone who didn't know exactly what to do and what to bring.

Yes. All enemies respawn after you die and you have to go back and kill them all. When you die your weapons and armor lose some of their durability so you have to pay souls to repair them. But when you die you also lose all of your souls, which are the currency of Dark Souls and Demon's Souls. If you can make it back to where you died you can retrieve some of your souls. You will also become "Hollow" and cannot take part in online interactions like PvP and co-op. To become human again you have to sacrifice a sudo-rare item called "Humanity"
You should try playing online at first. You can summon 3 phantoms (Other online players) to help you defeat the level. If you need to know how to summon people for co-op just ask me.
<<Pic related. You're going to want some Jolly Co-operation.

Trust me. Everyone has had that feeling when they first played the game. I did with both Dark Souls AND Demon's Souls but once you learn how to play the game the shit is easy. It's also one of the few games to come out recently that is packed full of content, has a great online community, and will easily last you anywhere from 20-40 hours on your first playthrough.
The game has a set of unwritten rules to it that if you follow them, you'll turn out fine, but if you ignore them you'll die in a fire or some shit.
I love Dark Souls and I'm buying the DLC when it comes out in December (The PC version gets the DLC when the PC version is released in September, but PC players also get it for free)

If something can happen to you in the world, it can happen to the enemy NPCs. Like falling off a cliff. If YOU can go tumbling to your death so can they. If there's a dragon breathing fire onto a bridge that will kill you. The dragons fire will also kill any of the enemies caught in it. And so on so forth.
Black Knights are to be avoided at all times unless you're ready to dish out an ass whipping.
Save your health flasks until you really need them.
If you're fighting an invader and they run away, don't follow them. They're leading you into a trap.
For character starting out in the game or just don't have very many points into endurance, you can either be nimble and dodge attacks by rolling, or you can be a tower of steel and try to tank damage with heavy greatshields and plate armor. Don't try to do both or it's going to end badly for you.
Always be prepared for a boss fight or mini-boss fight.
Some of these are a tad hard to explain to someone who's never played Dark Souls or Demon's Souls but when you start playing the game they make sense,

So, what can happen to me, happens to others. Black Knights = Rape in disguise as a knight. Use Health flasks sparingly. Don't follow things running away. Get Endurance or learn to doge or use plate armour and great shields. Keep anus prepared 24/7.
Got it. :D
Got it. :D
You got it alright! :D
Also, Black Knights drop some of the best weapons in the game so if you manage to kill one and use their weapon you'll be set for a while. I killed a BK on my very first playthrough I manage to beat one to death with a club and I took his black knight greatsword which has a base damage of 220. (That's fucking amazing considering the best weapons at that point in the game only do upwards to 70 damage.)
two more things friend: Holding any weapon with two hands will increase the damage you do with it and the more points you put into skills that related to that weapon the more damage it will do.
If you're ever in deep shit in Dark Souls this website is your friend

Good thing I've played a few RPGs in my time. You know Hunted: Demons Forge? Well, the game itself wasn't great but I must say, it was pretty hard, especially the start, me and my friend got our asses kicked, health potions were rare and it took a while for us to start really kicking ass.
I am quite sure I will get it but jesus it will be a test of my video game skills. Because I am not a clever man I must say.

The challenge is set, however. I will get dark souls and beat that shit when it comes out.
But for now, my new challenge, one I made myself with another guy. Eat every leader in New Vegas with the Cannibalism perk and make the character more retarded than a snail with downs syndrome.

Lol. Sounds awesome. I might try it sometime. On my main character I'm on NG++ (3rd playthrough) because whenever you beat Dark Souls you can start a new game with all your stats and equipment, but the catch is the game is every HARDER everytime you do complete a playthrough.
