Welp, my Dead Space 3 arrived this morning.
I've been playing it for about 5 hours now.
Chapter 17 and holy fuck, it is awesome.
I loved No.1, I was a little dissapointed with No.2 but No.3 feels like the right direction to go, it's scary at times and still always forces you to panic like fuck when you get rushed by a shitload of NecroMorphs.
I fucking love this game, gonna continue playing it for the next few days non-stop I expect.

In my opinion Dead Space 2 is the best. I think it always will be considering where Dead Space is heading. 3 was ok
xenomorphs are cooler than necromorphs.
Yeah, I'm too curious not to look around.
I've missed 2 optional missions so far, I've also gotten most artifact's so far.
The one thing I will be doing though is going back and maxing all my resources like I did on DS2, I had maxed credits + Nodes with max upgraded all weapons, same thing on DS1.

I'm on above 70% on each Chapter thus far.
I've been joined by one friend for 3 chapters I think, mainly just because he wanted some quick Tungsten and I was doing an Optional mission that was bound to end in rewards.
And yeah, It's only taken 5 hours because I die rarely, after playing DS1 and 2 for over 50+ each on the harder difficulties you sort of just learn to anticipate the next ambush or attack.
I've just been using the planet Cracker for the whole game so far, I really should start making weapons and the like soon, the only thing I've upgraded so far is my Armour, it was maxed by chapter 8.

It just felt a little forced in the horror area, I jumped once during the whole game despite playing late at night with the lights off and volume high.
I enjoyed the Gameplay and mechanics but I never once felt threatened with my inventory of Medium Health packs.

I never found Dead Space to be horror at all. I just treat it as action game in a dark setting (my favourite kind of setting) and I really like it. I preferred 2 for many reasons (which I won't go into) and haven't played 3 because EA.
Everyone is disappoint that Dead Space isn't horror anymore and I'm just sitting here feeling like a fearless badass.

I don't like the term jump-scare because it implies fear. It should be jump-surprise.
Eh, I enjoy the dark action a lot, like I said, I think it's the best option that DS3 could have possibly chosen.
People are only complaining about DS3 because it doesn't have that same old "Pure Horror and Panic".
I personally have so far enjoyed DS3 way more than I did DS2.
