I'd actually say Final Fantasy X
decent graphics decent gameplay and decent story, it would help introduce you into the kind of game FF is.
and it'd keep you more engaged compared to others (personally i'd not have bothered with earlier final fantasies if i played them first)
So go for FFX
or XII although it has alot for you to grasp.

I'd say either 4, 4, or 4,

Pick 4.

I started with 6 and it's my favorite, it's called 3 in US for whatever reason. You could also try 7 or 10. It all depends on the characters you want in it.

is any of these for PC (in worst case emulators?)

All of them have emulators.

if theres a game you are looking for that is not on the xbox 360, ps3 or Wii U you will probably be able to emulate it if it was console exclusive though you can buy them on the Wii

User avatar #328846 to #328839 - animedudej (02/05/2013) [-]

Final Fantasy 1? Seems kinda logic since it has been numbered, you silly weaboo
User avatar #328840 to #328837 - fivewordminimum ONLINE (02/05/2013) [-]
The stories don't connect and the style differs between games.
User avatar #328847 to #328840 - mikepro (02/05/2013) [-]
I know they don't, but they're numbered for a reason, it's not like "Hey guys I'm gonna read A song of ice and fire which one should I start?" they're not numbered and they each have different names. That doesn't happen on FInal Fantasy, there's Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3 .... you get it.
User avatar #328853 to #328847 - fitemeirl (02/05/2013) [-]
except that final fantasy is fucked up chronologically. also the early Japanese releases and early western releases are numbered differently, so which game to start with is a perfectly valid question here.
User avatar #328855 to #328853 - mikepro (02/05/2013) [-]
I know it's a valid question, I also gave a valid answer and I'm pretty sure the Wikipedia page for Final Fantasy probably has all of the games listed on it. Starting from the beginning is probably a good idea if he wants to play them all, if not then he should ask which one are the best and then play them in whatever order he thinks he wants to play them
