Can some one explain what the (s) stands for in Fallout New Vegas? It's a variable that effects the healing power of aid items. Apparently, my character has zero (s) because none of my healing items work.

it means how many seconds the healing item will last for before the full effect has taken place, or how may health points you will receive per second with the use of that item.
