‘Disaster’ is a strong word, which is good because we need one. Absolution is a disaster. It’s almost the polar opposite of Blood Money: instead of sidelining the story to focus on big, open-ended assassination missions, it sidelines assassination to focus on telling a long, linear, and embarrassingly bad story. In game terms, that means most of its levels task you with reaching and opening a particular door. If it was called Doorman: Absolution, it would be much less disappointing.

reviews are opinions. i wouldnt base my decision to buy it off one person opinion. a lot of other reviews are liking it. plus there are fans of the series that are still gonna buy it no matter what.

Also, a publisher is a publisher, their job is to push something and make money. That's why they're called a publisher, they publish things.

Publish means release, not promote. I was simply saying that there are more people who enjoy the game, than don't. One of those is me.

If publishers were just there to release, then how do indie developers release games? I can name quite a few indie titles that made it out there without said publishers.

I'm sure there are plenty of people that have differentiating opinions. I think MGS is mediocre. Halo 4 and AC3 shouldn't have existed. Bethesda RPGs such as Fallout: New Vegas and Skryim are rather crap, much like the company as a whole. You can disagree with that, that's fine, I don't care.
