Best book I've ever read has to be the His Dark Materials series, ever since I read it back in the 2000 I've had to read the series every year. The ending to that book still makes me tear up like a little girl. Oh and Slaughter House Five, love the insane books.
Recently my "guilty pleasure" read right now would be the Dresden Files, stuff is so crazy that it can't help but be awesome.

Agreed, they are just so fun to read! I'm currently trying to buy first editions of them all but the first five are all hard to find =/. What did you think of the last two?! I haven't properly read Ghost Stories yet but damn was the one before it was awesome!
Yeah I was upset by teh ending of it as well but I checked the wiki (Ghost Stories was out at the time so I cheated) and was relieved to figure out that stuff, but it makes you think, what the hell is he going to do to end this series?
Probably The Stranger by Albert Camus, easily his best book.
1. The Percy Jackson Series
2. The Septimus Heap Series
3. Metro 2033

It is goddamn amazing, it's one of the first books that I read through without stopping.
I read MoA as an ebook because fucking Barnes and Noble got robbed the day it came out..
I still went and bought it after but the actual book is definitely better.
