I enjoy the game too, but it was way too overhyped by people. They said it was revolutional, it had subpar graphic, but the zombies and the fast paced shooting gave it a solid 7 of 10 for me

Resident Evil: Revelations is the shit. I have yet to play a Resident Evil game I haven't liked. I especially love Code Veronica X.

It is very good, the people who say it isn't have either not played the game, or are just butthurt that the game isn't survival horror.

i played it and its ok when u get some friends playin with you (ai is a little retarded sometimes), but as a RE game it does kinda fail in comparison to the rest of the series.

well resident evil is survival horror. if i want a third person shooter ill play gears of war not this. i guess i am a little butt hurt cause i am a resident evil fan but i do not like the idea of this game at all

Its statements like these that make me sad to be a part of this fandom. Saying things like that is just ignorant.
"If I wanted a 3rd Person shooter, I'd play Gears of War"
"If I wanted an RPG, I'd play Final Fantasy"
"If I wanted a FPS, I'd play Doom"
You could say this about any genre of game. Does it justify anything? Most likely not, no...


You say your a "fan"? Yet, you won't at least try the game and instead go on others opinions? You say your a fan and won't even play a game heavily related to the series canon?
If your a "fan", then go to Wal-Mart, buy the game, and enjoy it because its the closest thing we're ever gonna get to an HD remake of 2/3. Hell, even if you just play Heroes mode (which is the funnest thing to do, ever), then at least you would have attempted to like the game.

it's like Halo Wars, every one hated it cause it was a whole nother style of halo. we dont want our favorite games to go through big changes. would people play CoD if i changed to a F.E.A.R. style game, most likely not. that's why we dont like RE: ORC.

and trust me anything in this game is probably crap compared to Gears 3. the Horde mode, beast mode, co-op story, and multiplayer are all really fun. ive heard RE: ORC is lacking in alot

I guess that first point you said makes sense. But, seeings how RE4-5 were already 3rd person shooters, then its not like it changed that much.

If you go into the game hoping, "oh gee, well its a 3rd person shooter. I hope its a lot like RE 2 and 3!" Then your gonna be sad, and in turn, will make you dislike the game.

But if you look at it as just another fun game it hold us over until the next Main Game comes out, then its great. I mean its fun, alone and with friends, it has good multiplayer modes, a cool story, and a satisfyingly fun private mode.

The game is by no means horrible, but if your gonna say it is, even though you don't have the game, and I do, then thats fine. Whats not fine is when you deny the game of goodness just because it changed a bit in gameplay. I mean seriously, how freaking shallow can you get?

ya well RE 4-5 still kept a very similar formular to the others, unlike RE: ORC where its more of a shooter. i actually freak out in RE 4. "oh fuck he has a chain saw! run away!!!" "ah fuck it the regenerator! shit im low on ammo too!" its too much unlike the other ones. i knew it wasnt gonna be like RE 2/3 or even 4/5 so early on i had big doubts about it

OBVIOUSLY you have not played ORC from as far as i can tell. In ORC you dont get TONS of ammo, you get 5 clips..... that's it. There's hunters and crimson heads and everything you can get from RE 2/3. But instead of it being a full on survival horror, its got a nice twist to it. Its a Survival shooter. This game is great, no doubt about it. The fact that you can run and gun and steer clear of all B.O.W's and zombies makes it alot easier for some other players too.
Sure it isnt like the others but atleast its a significant change. They tried there hardest to make a game worth playing in this kind of condition and asshole's like you come and ruin all the fun for everyone who likes it.
You know, I'm actually glad you don't have the game. Your a shame to capcom's fans. Leave while you still can.

If you uh..hadnt noticed. Im 19, i've played all the resident evil's. Shit i still have them sitting right beside me. In my opinion, they're all equal. Its just a matter of how you take games i guess.
I find ORC to be quite the great game, along with all the others of course. But In the standings of the resident evil franchise, Resident evil 3: Nemesis and Resident evil 2 still take the cake for me.
And cant we agree on something, resident evil outbreak was only good for kevin ryman.

i can respect a love for 2 and 3. i loved number 2. im just glad we are gonna see normal zombies in RE6, none of that crap from 4 and 5. i mean i liked them but they didnt feel like RE. survival horror is my favorite genre but it's dieing lately.

Well, i liked resident evil 4 only because it was leon. I really liked 2 because of claire and the way it was made, it was great. I really loved number 3 because it instilled a fear in you that nemesis could pop out at any second. Shit when i was a kid i played it and the time in the RPD building when nemesis popped out of the window, scared the fuck out of me. And i agree resident evil 4/5 didnt have that same feel. And yes it is a dying genre but atleast we have all these great games to come back to right?
