I think it will be a sequel like Assassin's Creed 2 was. Same core gameplay but new weapons and such. Doesn't make it bad, Assassin's Creed 2 was the second best game of the series, after the first one. I liked the first one better because it was new and really appealing, and i think the same will happen here.

Was very disappointed by the first one, thinking of getting this to see if it's redeemed itself imo.

Not sure. I want to see a gameplay first, I really liked the first one, so I don't know if I should get it/pre-order it yet.
