Personally, i'd go with having 1TB, Backing Storage is fairly cheap so the extra room is worth it. You're not particularly likely to fill it either.

Expect each game to be 10 - 15GB. A 500GB should be fine, but $30 more for double the space is worth it.

NP. I used to game on a 160GB HDD, you'll be fine.
100GB easily covers an mmo, singleplayer, and multiplayer game. but i have a full TB, and am thinking about getting a 3TB external....for..games..
yeah....games....
yeah....games....
IF you're talking about ram I would go either 8 gb or 16 gb depending on your budget.
yeah, he wants 2TB ram, so he doesn't need to upgrade for 30 years
Hmm.. I wonder if in Asia there is someone working on 2 TB ram..

I believe that 64-Bit OS's only support 256GB. We would need 128-Bit first.
4GB is enough memory. Storage on the other hand is completely different. 500 GB should be enough, if you have anywhere up to 100-150 games, unless you do a lot of recording, then you might consider getting a couple of Terabytes.

4GB is more than enough, but 8GB is a good overkill. I have 8GB, I never see it go over 40 or so. In a few years that will change.

4GB should last at least 3 years. Games don't really even use 2GB yet.
