I need to learn how to do this, and do it on the spiral staircase at my grandma's.

I tried and it's not that hard. After a few months I can do it almost as fast as him (I trained a bit everytime I went down the stairs at school)

Your first foot must not move. You push with your second foot, which should make your first foot go down 1 slab. Right when the heel of your front foot leaves the slab it was on, you put your second foot back in position and quickly start again when your first foot touches the next slab.
