I tip if they are courteous, and get there before I start looking for something to eat. If they follow the "Don't ring my doorbell" rule, i throw in extra.

But I think that "Tipping" for doing your job is fucking stupid. I work for walmart, wanna play the "Who gets payed less?" game? Yet I am not even allowed to accept a tip even if someone offered me one, I would get FIRED for accepting any sort of monetary gift.

The tip is for the convenience of someone coming all the way out to your house to give you cooked food.

Pretty sure that's what the delivery fee that godfathers and papa johns charge is for. The tip is for getting me hot pizza, cold soda, not spitting in either, a smile, a joke, and in general making me feel like you appreciate me.

Anyone who's worked in retail or any customer service position knows the routine kid-o. Fake smile, just to get them to leave you alone. (My favorite is customers who think at the end of the day I am going to remember how bad our lines were to check-out. That's management's problem, not mine. lol)

It's still a nice gesture to give someone who hand delivered your food a tip. You want tips? Then stop working at walmart.

Its a nice gesture, but that isn't the premise of tips to begin with. A tip says "I like what you're doing, keep it up." so when you don't get one, you think "How can I improve my service so that I get a tip? Or a bigger one?" Tips were always about improving quality of services given.

Well if you want things to change you should ask Obama to give walmart people tips.

They're taxed for tips even if they don't earn them. In America, it's legal for people like waitresses and delivery boys to work for under minimum wage and even to work for tips alone with no hourly salary.

pizza delivery guys(and girls) dont get paid minimum wage, so a tip is necessary. If you don't tip a delivery guy(or girl) you'd better hope to god they dont deliver to you again.
