sorry but i gotta do it. two things, burnouts are only supposed to warm up the tires not destroy them. second, your comparing a factory copy of a classic to a high performance classic. but heres a picture of a real burnout. notice the tire melting down the quarter panels.

i saw that picture in HRM, and all they did was pour gas on the ground prior, they did a whole episode about it on car science. have you seen the tires that when smoked give off red white and blue smoke?

Wouldn't work because i have add blocker, and it wasn,t the tire that made the road catch fire, It was the back fire the car made, just so you know.

just so you know, that still wouldnt be hot enough to light the rubber covered ground on fire. and im not saying the tires caught on fire, im saying its an illusion. just turn off ABP for 10 sec and watch it.

i would also like to mention that the melting point of rubber and asphalt are somewhere around 300 degrees F, their combustion temperatures are MUCH higher. additionally a split second of backfire is not enough heat/time for anything to light. the heat has to be kept on something long enough for it to soak in for it to light. such is the case of running your hand over a candle. if you move your hand over a candle quickly you wont feel any heat.
