soccer isnt a sissy sport. i play both hockey and varsity soccer so i know what its like. soccer takes a lot of skill to play and its extremely rough, at least at the varsity level. as a defender ive wrecked a few kids, one even broke his radius. of course its nothing like hockey, but soccer is tougher than baseball and basketball.

Well baseball is a noncontact sport, so it's not fair to compare baseball and soccer like that. That being said, in my opinion, basketball is tougher.

Well basketball is a game where there isnt any contact and where you sit there wile some tall dude sinks a 3 pointer and you cant do much about it. There isnt a real true clash of skill because you cant really defend that well. Its a game of who can flick their wrist the best...

Unless, you know, you went up to him and blocked him. By you logic, soccer is a sport where of who can flick their foot the best.

The difference is that in soccer, you can run in and wreck kids, making it so you have to be able to be tough and stand your ground, as well as be extremely agile and quick. In basketball you stand in front of the player and yeah you can stand there and put your hands in the air, but thats about it. You cant be as agressive in basketball as you can be in soccer, hockey, football, and rugby. Im no basketball player so correct me if im wrong.

You can do a lot more in basketball than you believe. as both the defender and the offender. Dribbling, stealing, fakie shot, ect. You have less than a couple seconds to shoot the ball. Plus, you can use contact, just not your hands, which, as far as I know, is the same with soccer. In my experiance (as a former soccer player and a basketball player), I found more people in soccer who would cry at the first push (not saying there's not some who are extremely tough. I suppose it just depends on the player.

Im pretty sure you cant go and push a guy forcefully with your in basketball. And you have forever to handle the ball in basketball because the other player cant come up, push through you, and take the ball. You can technically stand there with your butt facing your opponent and dribble until the game ends with minimal to no interferance. If you dont have enough time for a shot then you can stand there and wait for a passing opportunity.

I'm 100% positive that you have never played or seen a game of basketball in your life. If you go up and push someone to the ground in soccer, you don't get in trouble? Is that a new rule or something? You can wait for a passing opportunity, until a guy comes and grabs the ball away from you. You can't stand there and dribble the ball becasue guess what, they have a shot clovk. Plus, people could just take the ball to you unless you were the best dribbler in ther world.

Im not saying anything about pushing people to the ground, im talking about bodying a man off the ball, getting close and using your shoulders and hips and sometimes arms to push the opponent away and steal the ball. You cant use brute strength in basketball, you cant run up and make full contact to get the ball, its a completely different type of game. In my opinion, no rough contact, no fun. Ill stick to hockey and soccer where i can use strength as well as skill.

You can get a man off the ball easily in basketball using strength.....

post a video of a basketball player running up, making full contact, and forcing another player off the ball without getting a foul called. If you can show it to me then my opinion will change.
