I'm almost always bored, but I'm also kinda lazy (this is a bad mix). I'm going to college for engineering.

I covered almost all of junior trig in a few weeks of maths, (junior is 4 years, years 7-10, in Australia) and then we moved on to a different topic. I think our way of doing it is better because you can break down the different sections and spread them out because theres so many parts of maths that are a combination of parts. So what if your algebra class hasn't taught you the algebra you need for trig? Or you haven't covered advanced polynomials (in whatever class you'd do them in, I'm guessing algebra) so you can't do some parts of trig?

With the Australian way you can cover topics faster because you spend more time on them, but you can split and combine them in whatever way suits the class best, maybe your class is really good at algebra? Good, they can spend more time on coordinate geometry where they aren't.

We covered all of high school trig from the start in 3 hours. To be fair, this was in a prep class for the international mathematics olympiad, so we were all expected to be able to keep up with that pace.

How extensive was your trig course though?
We spent 3 months, at about 3 hours week doing it, we began and finished the entire trig course for the curriculum. I don't know about american schools but in Australia my school has one of the more intense trig courses, on account of being selective

This was over 2 years ago so I can't remember exactly, but we did about 1.5 times the amount of content in the high school curriculum, including stuff like the Angle Bisector theorem, Stewart's Theorem, Ceva's, Menelaus', Ptolemy's theorems (these last 3 aren't technically trig, but they're also related to triangle geometry for which we learned trig as a precursor)

So that'd be a bit less than my schools extended curriculum I guess not trying to boast, just trying to get an accurate idea , so that with all the back and forth wit algebra and geometry we merged into it, and that your class was obviously made up of really good mathematicians, whereas mine has good ones but not (usually) exceptional, I can see why you'd do it a lot faster.

There were some really insanely smart people in that class, I can tell you that. One guy got like 75% in the IMO (Top 6 high school maths students in each country get to compete. Average score is about 6/42), and one of our lecturers had gotten 100% for it when he was in high school.

Not a single one of us was able to keep up with the shit he lectured (according to our other lecturer, it was apparently 3rd/4th year mathematics major equivalent shit that he was lecturing to 16-17 year olds)

So your class had a much higher standard, and a different curriculum as well So not directly comparable, unless we actually went detailed into it and I couldn't be bothered

Ah, been forever since i had orange juice after brushing my teeth. But i noticed that if i brush my tongue after my teeth (without toothpaste so you're not putting more on your tongue) and then rinse my mouth out well enough, it almost negates that effect the toothpaste has on tastes.
