Deadman Wonderland is about super-powered prisoners in a private prison where they have to play life-or-death games to survive. It is also the edgiest edging edge to ever edge an edge, even edging out Gantz.

I stopped reading a bit after the dinosaurs, but I was talking specifically about the anime. Where they never got around to the guy who really needed a fedora or the stuff with the camera girl or any of that.

I guess you could still argue either way, but still. DW starts with a classroom of middle schoolers getting blown up, then it's all about people fighting each other with their blood because a corrupt warden is selling tickets to their fights and then some freaky torture porn scene afterward. And they have to fight because they all have poison collar things. Plus the stuff about what's-her-name being a child experiment or something. Then there's all that with the resistance, and the enforcers they pull out of left field. And that ending.

And at least with Gantz I was able to hate the MC for being a horrible, shitty person, instead of hating him for being a bland, whiny, standard Shonen protagonist.

unfortunatley im pretty sure deadman wonderland season 2 wont happen. from what ive heard they never intended to do more than what they did so they cut out characters from the manga that wouldnt have been relevant until later.

wait, who did they cut out? because they had mockingbird and the twins and shit, and they did fuck all.

She's in the next movie so I'd guess yes
