The comic isn't meant to reflect the viewpoint of the creator, it's meant to show how attitudes towards gaming, as well as how games are made, have changed.

But the general attitude is the opposite...

Some bands even lose money. It's really difficult to live as a musician (I mean living with the money you earn with it), so most of the underground bands or even big bands members also work. I myself have a music band (more like project) and it's a pain in the ass. But I do it because I love what I do, not because I want to earn money. Of course I want to earn money to cover my expenses regarding to recordings, travels, etc, but I've assumed that I can't live with the money I would earn with my music.

Yeah, fuck artists which make money from being popular, you should only play music which no-one wants to listen to.

I used to just sit in my old high schools media center on hacker typer every day we had advisory and every lunch, I was that dude no one talked to, and talked to no one. The only time people ever even looked me was when ide fix shit on teachers computers so they all thought I was a "hacker" or some shit and people legit got scared as fuck one time when I switched from the normal hacker typer to the us government overlay, they thought i was doing some terrorist shit. was funny.
