| So should America act like a child? Or act like the father figure role, that has been thrust-ed upon to it? Who thrusted this role upon us, and why do we have to follow it? We just got attacked, and it worries us. And, Protip: America has been the father figure of the world for a long time. Whenever we fight someone, we always, ALWAYS help rebuild. It's just how we roll. So, some Iraqi building gets blown up: we end up building them a building WAY better than the one they had. We're on our own here. Pretty much the world has given us this role, see WWI, II, Vietnam, Korea, so on and so forth. It just bugs me that people are over reacting to this attack, more than they should be, I don't want to sound insensitive but, it wasn't that bad, on a scale of 1-10, it is barely a 4. What pisses me off is that while people are shouting "OH IT WAS N DERMESTIC TURRIST!" and all that bullshit, while nobody is questioning why if the Boston police know about the bomb threat, and have that threat backed up with strong evidence, why the hell did they not take extra precautions, or for that matter, why didn't they CANCEL THE FUCKING RACE. | ||

N. Korean citizen (04/16/2013) [-] What, 76 people died on Utöya and I don't feel hate towards Breivik. The thing is, people only care when it hits close to home, I mean, every fucking day there are thousands of people dying and being mutilated, in the middle east, and a very small percentage of people give a fuck, but someone bows up a bomb in Boston, and everyone is all fucking uppity? It's bullshit, and while the Boston bombing was tragic, why are other bombings across the globe, are being ignored? I think thats what he is trying to say. #61

N. Korean citizen (04/16/2013) [-] There's a theory called the monkey-sphere which indicates that the average human being just doesn't have the mental capacity to care for really any more than two hundred people at a time. It was part of our social evolution. ""One death is a tragedy. One million deaths is a statistic." Read more: [url deleted] #64

N. Korean citizen (04/16/2013) [-] www ,. cracked ,., com/ article14990what-monkeysphere.html#ixzz2QdeaKwZo Now you're just being ignorant. These "mutilations" are unfortunately part of their religion. Women in Pakistan are stoned to death if THEY get raped, they are stoned to death for leaving the house without a relative male, not wearing a burqa, speaking without permission! Getting bombed is not part of your country's way of life/religious practices etc... Are you kidding me?? And what about all the women and children bein raped in kongo, people being killed in Syria for fighting for freedom, and so on. It's not like everybody who is killed outside 'Murica is killed because of religion and therefore it's ok... *I'm not American, I don't really care* What happens in another country is not really any of our business, yes we can fight about it how morally wrong it is etc... But bitching won't get anything done. If you really want to help free those people, be my guest and do something about it. Did you even read what I wrote? What you wrote? You said all people in other countries get killed because of their religion, I argued against that... And I do try to make I change. Not that I know why you mentioned that. If you actually read my comment, you'd notice I did not say ALL people in other countries get killed due to religion; I gave examples. I'm sorry for not specifying, but again I don't understand why people busy and worry themselves with things that are beyond their grasps. If you want to make a difference, go to those countries and actually reach out instead of arguing with me about it on a fuckin website. #32

restfullwicked (04/16/2013) [-] no you arnt allowed to act like its worse for you when america is doing the exact same shit in someone elses country. any bombing of civilians is not acceptable, but most americans dont give a shit what their country gets up to out side its borders but once something happens to them suddenly its the worse news and we should all be teary eyed. I am sorry for your loss. and hope your friends are alright. This is very significant to us, though. It's an attack on American soil. This doesn't normally happen, so we're worried about it. People that live in America don't have to worry about bombs and all that, so when a bomb goes off in America, everyone loses their minds.
