Gonna need a couple terabyte big hard drive if you get a bunch of games. 45 gigs, That is nuts. What are your specs if you don;t mind me asking.
User avatar #514 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
Intel G620, 4GB 1333MHz, EVGA GTS 450 all at stock, going to up to 8GB 1600MHz, and a 3570k, and yeah, gonna have to clean my HD, I gotta get a controller I want to replay GameCube Zeldas!
User avatar #525 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
I can play gamecube games with my i7. It is the same as the i5 you want but it has hyper threading. I would get your i5 before anything else. I don't think you can play the ps3 emulator with a g620. I'm only running 4 gigs of 1600 that I found do just boot my system and it runs game cube games fine. And dude, wind waker was the shit. It was different it had a diffrent feel that current zeldas. You can get a terabyte hdd for like 70 bucks. Also check out tiger direct. I think they have your 3570k for like $220? Also check out the ud3h gigabyte mobo. It is a extremely awesome mobo. The bios is cool, it has 3d bios. You can oc it with software with one click. A retard can oc with this mobo. Check it out. I love it. And it has 2 bios chips so you may have one bios set up to run it really fast and hot, or swithc the bios to run slower and cooler. It is a nice feature. But check it out. ud3h by gigabyte. You might have to upgrade your mobo anyway to run a 3570k. I think it needs a 8 pin power supply cable instead of the 4 pin. I have my self a 850 watt power supply with 10 sata power, 10 molex power, 4 and 8 pin cpu power, 24 or 20 pin mobo power, 8 and 6 pin gpu power. Make sure your mobo can handle your cpu though. It would suck to install it and it doesn't have enough power. When I get home tomorrow from college I will have to play wind waker again. I need some nostalgia, lol.
User avatar #543 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
Sadly don't live in the USA, the price is about the same (an extra $50), got a Gigabyte Z68 something for mobo, got the same features, tho was wanting an ASUS one for the touch/mouse BIOS. Totally agree! Wind Waker was amazing, also want to replay Ocarina of Time for N64, but with a keyboard it's WAY too hard.
User avatar #625 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
I never got into the witcher series. I got 2 and I didn't really like it. I'll try 3 though and see if changes to it make me like it. Hope you get you pc done by then. Or bite the bullet and get a ps4 or xbox one. Well I'm gonna hob off of here and watch e3. Nice talking to you bro.
User avatar #626 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
Don't really like console so will be focusing on PC! And same here, have fun and enjoy. Will report on the emulator later on tho.

Dragon age 3, badass. I just hope it aint as bad as 2. Second dragon age seemed rushed. They reused the same maps so many times. But they did make they combat more imersive than one. And fable 1. That sounds badass.
User avatar #624 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
Completely agree, combat was great, tho being 90% of the time in the city really ruined it, tho DA3 seems like it's going to be open world like Witcher 3, well now just gotta wait for any of these to come out and hope the PC can handle it/PC will be finished by then.
User avatar #621 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
Thanks for the link. Could not find anything. I never really got into kingdom hearts. I would like to see fable 4. I do enjoy their series. And some good turn based rpg. Or a good rpg in general. Next gen consoles just don't have good rpgs. Not like the classics. I love leveling up and becoming more badass with a really powerful story that makes me feel. Other than a good rpg I'm not sure what I want out of e3 this year.
User avatar #622 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
There was a trailer for a remake of Fable 1, also Witcher 3 and Dragon Age 3 are coming so putting my hopes on them for an RPG, currently just replaying Fallout New Vegas..

Damn, I forgot about e3. I hope they give us some good games. I need dark souls 2. I also heard they may be amazing banjo and kazooie 4. That is awesome, unless it is like nuts and bolts. That is a good idea. I would recommend visiting a tigerdirect store. They sell computer parts everywhere. And excellent deals and customer service. Good idea. I would save up a grand ( if possible ) Come here and get yourself whatever you need. And that is stupid. about the ebay thing. And your welcome bro. I'm always here to help.

Yup, when time comes I'll look around, currently checking with TigerDirect, Newegg, and NCIX. Was looking at Amazon as well (buy it and send to an address and when I/they get there the object is there already. Well gotta keep planning these things!! And dammit...the E3 stream made me stop the download for 2h, and going to Uni in about 1h...Will only be able to tell if the PS3 emulator works in around 6hours. D:
User avatar #615 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
Sorry to hear that bro. You could try ebay for cheaper parts but you don't get a guarantee. As I said though get your cpu first. It will still work with your z68 mobo but it will be bottlenecked. It will be stronger than it is now even with that mobo. This will just let you get the system up and running and make sure you get a working chip then later you can switch mobos. But try amazon or ebay for cheaper parts if you must. Sucks ass that it cost more for y'all. Well I wish you luck in your endeavors on getting your perfect build.
User avatar #616 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
Tried those, they are actually more expensive because of our international tax law...It ranges from 10% up to ~320% over the price of said object if it gets 'locked' on the international thing (don't know name). Trying to get friends that travel from USA/here to bring it with them as personal objects. Thanks for the tips tho.
User avatar #607 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
How come you hate intel? because they make a different chip set every time? All that is is so when you upgrade you can't use your last mobo. But if I may say this. Build a new computer from scratch,. If you have a job where you get paid every week or every 2 weeks. Then get a part from each paycheck. It will take longer to build but you won't have a budget. Salvage out parts just so you can boot it up and then once it is going start upgrading the salvaged parts. I like intel because they have better tech and dedicated graphics packed into the cpu. Think about building a completely new build and buy a part from each paycheck. Also if you do do that, think about intels 4 generation that just came out, haswell. It has the newest graphics built in, I think 4600. or amd, that is up to you. If you do decide to give your old one to your mother I don't think she will need to gpu unless she plays games. So you could put that into your next build if you choose to do so. And good one you for giving it to your mother, I would see my old one. Good luck if you choose to build one from scratch. or good luck on upgrading. Just salvage old parts just to get your new system booted up if you go that route. Got any questions just give me a shout. I'll be glad to help you.
User avatar #614 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
I live in South America so prices are high, bought a Z68 mobo that costs about $90-100 there, but here after currency exchange it goes for $200-240, the RAM it seems that it's all good with 1600, had researched that before, but for the 3rd GEN seems that it will bottleneck the CPU a bit...seems that you can update the BIOS and it works, gotta research more on that tho. Might try and find a rare 2500k then. And currently University student, doing student jobs (doing projects for others etc.)
And no, I'll keep the GPU, but the proc/ram/weaker mobo will go to her, currently using my old AMD Sempron 3200+ stock PC from 2003!!
My current build is for incomplete, was supposed to be at end 16GB 1600MHz, i5 2500k/3570k, but didn't have the rest of the money so I got the G620 and 4GB 1333MHz instead (invested on the rest tho).
Was wanting to test out the AM3+ build, me and about 2 other friends, tho we currently have no money/jobs so. .-. All uni students. Doing Computer Science right now (2nd semester)

And it says that z68 can't use higher memory speeds than 1333mhz. here is this chart

Here is the chart for the z77 chipset, so you can see the diffrence.

User avatar #559 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
Dude, you have a problem there. The z68 chipset, it supports only 2 generation cpus. The 3570k is a 3rd generation. you need z77 chip set. It You won't be able to get full functionality out of your i5 and it can't run gen pci gen 3. Check around for a mobo that supports 3rd gen ivy bridge. It will still run but your mobo will bottleneck your cpu. So check around. Either get a gigabyte or asus board. I've heard a lot of good things coming from the asus side. Also I researched it a little bit. You can use a 4 pin connector on the i5 but you con't overclock it. And I presume you want to because you're getting a k series chip. So pros of 8 pin is overclocking and better stability. Z77 chip sets also supports usb 3.0 and let me tell you I have never seen something so fast. It could transfer that 45 gig game in like 1 minute between devices. I have no usb 2.0s but I have 10 usb 3.0s I think I went overkill on them lol. But check for a ivy bridge supported mobo so you can get all of your features. I would hate to see someone get their system bottlenecked. And dude, ocarina of time. Best zelda game and always will be. I would like to play it on the 3ds with the better graphics. I wonder if 3ds has a emulator. I will have to find one.
User avatar #606 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]
You have no idea how much hate I have for Intel when it does these kinds of things...Might sell my board, buy a cheap z68 and give to my mom and build a AMD since the next architect will be AM3+ as well.

User avatar #623 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
User avatar #619 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
Damn, I forgot about e3. I hope they give us some good games. I need dark souls 2. I also heard they may be amazing banjo and kazooie 4. That is awesome, unless it is like nuts and bolts. Then it will be cancer. I have something to do for a while. Been waiting for e3 for a while. I forgot about that emulator. hope it runs.

Some links to the E3 streams, EA will start in 1h...Wanting Kingdom Hearts and Sleeping Dogs.

User avatar #618 - zoidz (06/10/2013) [-]

User avatar #561 - mookiez (06/10/2013) [-]
And it says that z68 can't use higher memory speeds than 1333mhz. here is this chart
www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/mainstream-chipsets/z68-express-chipset.html
Here is the chart for the z77 chipset, so you can see the diffrence.
www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/performance-chipsets/z77-express-chipset.html

She is one of the most rebellious characters in anime for rebelling against all she is meant to be.
