Well, if they keep their distance, you get behind cover. The way most gun crimes go, they pull out a gun about 20 or so feet from you, thinking that a bullet stops you that fast. A decent distance for avoiding being attacked when you have the gun is about 50 feet or so I'd say. Any less and if the person has a knife, suddenly your gut has one too.

Anyway, odds are that if there's 50 feet between you and a person with a handgun, they'll miss a couple times, and if they do hit, then it should take more than a couple rounds to kill you. The body is tougher than we think. Anyway, you get to cover, throw anything you can, bricks, rocks, etc. and wait for them to either run away or come after you to finish the job, and then they'll be within range for you to rush in and stab or beat the assailant down.

Lucky. Yeah, Muay Thai is definitely on my to do list for studying, along with Krav Maga (although, that's more of just "be aware and beat the shit out of them and don't let them use their weapons. Aim to kill," style.) and a couple others.

Oh man, I suggest Muay Thai. I know what you mean though about less grabby stuff. Brazilian Jujitsu certainly feels really gay. But Muay Thai is my suggestion. Quick, brutal, efficient. Tae Kwon Do in most places is reduced to a sport. It used to be incredibly lethal, now most places never teach you anything beyond sport useful things, and if they do, it's only past black belt.

I see, and totally agree, friend keeps telling me the stories...taking out that almost all of the 'grabs/holds' the other person keeps feeling your crotch.... And thanks, I'll look into that, and I hardly see any Tae Kwon Do places around here, tho a lot of Muay Thai.

If you only have time for one I would recomend NV if you just want a great game to play. There are a few references to previous games you won't get, but you won't miss anything major.

In other words: Take the time to play both, FO3 first. But if you have to chose one, go for NV.

I am not a clever man. No, it wasn't intentional at all.

They're different. F3 is post-apocalyptia, everything is fucked up and people are just trying to survive. NV is post-post-apocalyptia, where society is starting to be rebuilt, and there's actual civilization. Fallout 3 is much more gritty in my opinion, while New Vegas is more light. NV has more options such as gambling and modding (disregard the modifications part if you're playing it on PC)

Most would probably recomend 3, but presonaly I find New Vegas more fun. Might be the fact that it's more out in the open, and I like that. But the games are more or less the same, exept the location and story.

Also aming is a bit different. In NV you have the option to aim down the sight of the gun, while in Fallout 3 you have it locked at "just zooming in". There are a few other things that are better in either of the games, but you will have to see for yourself.

I see, I was seeing my friend play FO3 and saw that aiming 'problem'. And when I played NV I thought that the weapons were very weak in some way, they felt like I was carrying a bazooka but was shooting with a pea gun. I was wondering on FO3 and NV because I never played FO3, just saw a friend play it.

So exploration wise and fun which would be a good choice? (dont have much time to play both)
