Do they not understand that rape and other mistreatment of women would be rampant in a true anarchy?
#12 - dashgamer (12/03/2014) [-]
Of course these people would think anarchy is a good thing.
#125 - innocentbabies (12/04/2014) [-]
Statism is generally used to mean extreme government control, eg: any "communist" government. It is just as bad as anarchy.
Nolan chart, for your benefit. high scores indicate less government control, eg: extreme liberals want no government control in personal issues but full government control of the economy

But... But communism, fascism, these are all enforced with violence from the government to its people. How can nonviolent protests possibly considered to enable those horrible, murderous forms of government? This lady is so goddamn stupid.

They want warm water with their cool beverage. They just don't give a fuck.

Politically anarchism is leaderless, not lawless.
But it's supposed to also be completely egalitarian.

So I'm not sure if you're uneducated on the subject or if you're being clever.

I've been reading their New 52 series (I'm not terribly far in, about where Relic comes in) and I like the idea but they seem to let alot of plot threads just drop suddenly and not totally resolve others, is this an issue with the New 52 or what?
#29 - anonymous (11/25/2014) [-]
Its an issue mostly with the red lanterns being a side story to the green lanterns so some threads are resolved in the green lantern issues this is normally noted in the margin referance.
#35 - lordsnow (11/25/2014) [-]
Ahh ok. What are the best titles in the New 52 then? I liked brightest day/blackest night but other than that haven't found much recent DC stuff I liked too much. Don't get me wrong I'll read whatever I can get it just seems like Marvel has the upper hand big time.
#60 - Sacrifice (11/25/2014) [-]
I've collected various titles since the New 52 launched, and initially Suicide Squad was the best. i'd recommend them, until roughly when Basilisc comes in. That's when it dropped in quality and kept having storylines which built up and went nowhere. Red Lanterns was amazing until they seemed to just be doing it to keep it going. Fuck Bleez, and fuck Rankorr (or whatever his name was). I started to dislike it more and more after the human became a main focus. I've never read Wonder Woman, but it's gotten damn good feedback from all over, so that might be worth a look into. Green Arrow is pretty sweet, as per, and Green Lantern was pretty consistant too. One thing about GL, is there's a story arc which ends, and then the main writers leaves - and this is pretty much seen as a perfect ending. All the people I know chose to stop reading there. Reviews have dropped in score since then.
Swamp Thing and Animal Man are both highly acclaimed, though they weren't my cup of tea

TL;DR - Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Wonderwoman are all well recommended. Suicide Squad's high quality ended quite soon but didn't stop me collecting and hoping, dammit! .
There you go. probably WAY more text than you wanted, but I tried to be as thorough with WHY I recommended stuff as I could. (: Gif unrelated, I have a disturbing lack of any comic reactions.

Superman is inconsistent throughout the new 52 that i'v read. i'd read Justice League of America, Justice League, Justice League Dark if you like supernatural stuff. Personally, I think Super Girl has been the best out of everything in the new 52 i've read.

Also Forever Evil.
