There are good difficulty mods out there, you just have to find them.

I honestly don't see how making anything aside from improved controls of the dragonborn or improved AI would make the game harder, by the way. I believe you can still stunlocke dragons with the second, right? The first you just have to decide what works for you and what you want and work at it.

"The first you just have to decide what works for you and what you want and work at it. " yeah you just described leveling up in every RPG ever, moving on.

Good luck stunlocking them with both of those installed. The descriptions hardly do them justice. Pretty sure enhanced dragons makes them resistant to that shit anyway. Doesn't always work. You actually have to fight them amazing right?

The leveling in skyrim for me becomes, for the most part, grind one skill through the roof and just keep doing so until I have the perks I need to be OP. Good to hear the dragons are actually a threat with those mods.

I get ya. I started the game for the first time with a heavy/slow roll build, and i didn't know you could quick attack instead of power. I'm working on a 2h wep only save that uses quickroll; no blocking allowed. It's kept me from not stopping completely.

>Wait, so having more perks is a bad thing? And perks that aren't just "you do x% more damage" mind you. Huh. Maybe he wants to actually have something to do after he hits level 30.

User avatar #126 - zaperzero (02/19/2014) [-]
Adding several monsters (up to 9 for each 1 in the origional game), difficulty due to the high amount of grinding to level stats because of the multitude of perks you must put into each perk tree to complete it. He also has one to make dragons batshit strong.

I've got a ways to go. The last time I played I had just rang the first bell of awakening. I just went back to Firelink Shrine before I set out on my next endeavor. I'm not finding it overly difficult. I figure it's all about learning by doing and approaching the tougher enemies cautiously (recognizing their movements and attack patterns as to ascertain when it is appropriate to attack, guard, or evade, or go for a parry+reposte). I like the challenge for the most part.

It's just something about the atmosphere and the way everything is presented and handled that it fails to capture me. I think it's just going to take some time before it draws me in.
User avatar #252 - zaperzero (02/20/2014) [-]
It sounds like you'd better start with Demon's Souls then. By comparison, Dark Souls holds your hand at first, Demon's Souls doesn't.

I'm in the same boat as the guy but I've been through the game several times. I have most achievements (for referance to play time, not skill) and over 200 hours on one of my saves.

It just really gets kinda boring once you've memorized general AI and quickest routes.
User avatar #132 - zaperzero (02/19/2014) [-]
I found that boring but I kept myself entertained by doing different runs based on forcing a changed play style. level 1 runs, certain weapon only runs, ect.

Yep! She keeps whinning to get into my room though, which is annoying. I do, however, understand that she just wants to hang out.
The guy who is helping me get inspired to lose weight just got a pet yesterday.

Can't you just keep the door open? Haha. Cool, what kind of pet does he have?
User avatar #41 to #40 - zaperzero (09/16/2014) [-]
I can't keep it open. If I do then everybody will hear my conversations with my gay lover... >///> Or something like that. He got a little Beta fishy. He was also supposed to get this weird species of frog that starts about the size of a nickel as soon as it's no longer a tad pole and winds up being about the size of a softball.
User avatar #42 to #41 - jellybaby (09/17/2014) [-]
Ah, that's understandable. Aww, I love beta fish! They're so pretty. That sounds cool. I wouldn't want one myself, though, haha. I kinda want a python or a parrot, but ehh I don't fancy cleaning up poop.
User avatar #43 to #42 - zaperzero (09/17/2014) [-]
He happens to want a python, a puppy, a few birds, some lizards (like a komodo dragon), foxes, cats, and more fish. His dad and eventual college only allow fish though.
User avatar #44 to #43 - jellybaby (09/20/2014) [-]
That's a lot of things to look after, haha. Ah well, at least he can have his beta fishy.
User avatar #45 to #44 - zaperzero (09/20/2014) [-]
