1-not even other members of your faction acknowledge that your their leader. Arch-mage walks by and the apprentices talk down to him like he's some dude who just wandered in there blind
2-actually, the stat mechanics allowed for a wide range of possible characters and play-styles. Allow me to give you a list of all the possible play styles that are unavailable in skyrim but were available in previous games:
fist fighter skyrim gives you no real viable means of fighting with your fists, nor does it give you means of making it viable in the late game
curse bringer someone who uses magic to make their enemy's stats worse, making them easier to kill
blessings upon thy self someone who uses magic to make their stats better temporarily
night-blade i know skyrim has magic abilities that make you more stealthy, but they were much more available in previous games. You can create a stealth magic user right from the get go and have it be a viable option, whereas in skyrim you have to be level 60 to get half the spells to even be available. And those games just had more spell effects that could be useful for stealth than skyrim
acrobatic foot-pad thief who climbs in balconies and windows using their high jumps, in skyrim you always have the same jump height regardless of your stats
quasi-armored warrior warrior who specializes in all 4 armor skills from morrowind, which allowed for greater mobility while still having the same armor value as full daedric, requires lots of preparation and a degree in hexadecimal mathematics
illusion only someone who relies on the illusion college of magic for all combat, stealth, and diplomacy. And uses no other skill at all
enchanter someone who only uses magical items for all their needs, morrowind only, because oblivion only allows you to enchant items later in the mages guild, and enchanted items that you make aren't that good in oblivion and skyrim
armorer someone who trains their armorer to the point where they can repair their weapons and armor above their durability threshold, making them more effective
con-artist someone who gets merchants disposition to 100 and has a decent mercantile skill, can buy the whole store's stock for nearly 20% of their actual value, which is really hard to do in the early game, and when you reach end game you already have all the money and items you could ever need, but its really cool to see yourself clearing a store's selves and boxes, all for 100 gold
can't touch dis someone who gets a decent sanctuary spell going and raises their luck and agility to a certain point can become almost unhittable. a very powerful advantage late game, but really shit early game due to the high cost and the low chance of success of sanctuary spells
3-well, weapon and armor degradation was a vital part of the previous games, and was a deciding factor in the usefulness or disadvantages of certain weapon and armor types (glass weapons and armor were really good, but broke very easily. Spears deal a lot of damage and have a really long range, but broke very easily for example). But i guess when all weapons and armor are equally effective but with minor speed differences, and with little variety, giving them durability wouldn't make sense
4-i think you misunderstood me, i said how in certain towns have a reputation for racial discrimination. And on that, because when i hear a town hates elves, and dark elves especially. And i go there as a dark elf and nobody treats me any differently. Or how khajiit say they aren't allowed in some towns, yet as a khajiit the only town that has an obstacle restricting khajiit can be easily bypassed with the starting speech skill

1- Better than some guy in the middle of no where saying "Hey, weren't you the thane of Solitude?" while you're passing between Riften and Winterhold.
2- Fist Fighter not Viable? I think you mean, top tier build and extremely OP. You've clearly never tried it.
curse bringer You can make an enemy easier to kill all you want, but if you don't actually hit them what's the point? also, that's kinda how poisons work. Like, all of poisons are used for that in skyrim. You lower protections and damage and regen out the ass.
blessings upon thy self Alteration buffs defensive capabilities and poisons can suffice for weapon buffs if you want those, magical damage output is already asinine in TES5
night-blade never tried it but I can see it being viable with summons taking agro without allerting people of your presence, especially when you get alteration perks to help with that \
acrobatic foot-pad Because running in circles and jumping repeatedly was a fun way to level up, just ask Quest 64.
quasi-armored warrior Sounds interesting to me, being able to put into strictly armors, but having to go into any sort of advanced mathematics to even set up the basics of a class seems a little unnecessary to me. Though I wish there was more than one type of armor in skyrim.
illusion only Completely viable, I've seen it done before and it's beautiful.
enchanter limitations of an engine, but I have always found that skyrim and oblivion lack a lot in the way of enchanting, yes
armorer smithing is literally that
con-artist If stores in TES5 weren't useless that'd probably not be an issue.
can't touch dis sounds fun and right up my alley
3- Why go up a tier in gear if it is already comperable to the iron weapons you already have? Not saying TES5 doesn't suffer from a lack of options in the way of weapon variety, but it doesn't exactly have you stuck wasting hours in a town trying to get your gear all patched up because you're a couple septims short of after a purchase.
4- Oh? Well I'm sure it's a huge inconvenience to be able to play as anything but a nord without being bitched at by every person in skyrim who isn't your race. It's tough being able to play as a cold-blooded argonian in the tundras of Skyrim I'm sure. But, seriously, they don't allow you in orcish strongholds and everything else everywhere is straight nords who hate everyone except other nords. It would be impossible to do any sort of hanging about in cities without attracting irritation and paying double price as classes aside from nords.

This has absolutely nothing to do with all the other stuff going on, I was just going though and thought I'd throw in. I don't think I actually played the character to the later game so that might be where it struggles, but Khajiit can be great stealth/fist fighters. You need to use heavy armor for the perk that adds your gauntlets armor rating to your damage and then you get the gloves of the pugilist so that you can get the fortify unarmed enchant. If you throw sneak in as well you can creep around and devastate people. I only remember because the execute animations for unarmed were badass.

yeah, but going unarmed is still not a viable option most of the time. every single weapon in the game can be used more effectively than your fists. in morrowind, a master of hand to hand can one punch knockout 20 armed high level elite imperial guards single handedly.
the power scaling in skyrim has been reduced significantly from previous games. whereas a master of a given weapon in morrowind is extremely hard to beat.
a master of an armor type can have protection so powerful the best weapons in the whole game damn near-usless against them.
a master of sneaking can steal an NPC's entire inventory in a split second and it is literally impossible for any NPC to notice unless they have 50 sneak skill and are standing 3 feet away directly facing you.
a master of acrobatics can leap over mountains.
a master mercantile can buy a whole store's stock for practically nothing.
a master destruction can level entire cities with fire tornados.
a master of conjuration can summon hordes of lovecraftian horrors for their own amusment.
a master of illusion could make whole armies run in horror or fight each other to the death.
and before you ask, yes, all of these things can be achieved if you max out the appropriate skills, i have first hand experience with all of them.
in skyrim you can never get to that level of power you could reach in morrowind. everything about skyrim's stat systems screams :"we dont want you to get too powerful"
