You see, this is why I like funnyjunk. I can disagree with people like you and then they explain themselves, and can even joke about it.

This shit never happens on other popular Web sites, at least that I see.

You're a good guy. Gif related. p.s. that monkey is still a nigger. Don't you know black people have white hands?

Not to hate on you or anything, but since when the fuck does anyone care about the difference between a monkey or an ape?

They both get welfare checks.
User avatar #10 - zanea (08/20/2014) [-]
Depends on who you ask, scientists tend to get up in arms about it whereas most everyone else really couldnt care less. For me its a minor peeve I have because I know the differences.

also, since its a WHITE handed gibbon, no wellfare checks

Not to stomp on your parade, but you seem to have the numbers a little off. The norm for movies is 24 FPS, but the Hobbit was also filmed at 48 FPS, not 40 and 60. For games, the norm is 30 FPS, not 40, but there is a few games out there that do 60 FPS as their norm, and some on PC can go beyond that if you've got good enough hardware.

My ideal plan was to do several years of field work and then retire into teaching. Which I don't think would be that big of a deal. I'd say if I played my cards right and stayed fiscally responsible I can have a really nice retirement life.

That does sound interesting, I've always kind of shadowed away from the thought because a lot of what I hear from people when I say that I want to study the Archaeological fields of Anthropology I tend to get negative responses. Typically the arguments end up either starting or eventually getting to the main point of "it won't pay off (in terms of physical payment) good." But a paycheck isn't something I'm really too concerned of. All though it does make me question as to where exactly an Archaeologist goes to apply for a job.
User avatar #164 - zanea (08/05/2014) [-]
Well, your school should be able to point you in the right direction. Mostly Archaeologists find work has private contractors and work closely with construction crews. Site managers can make a decent living but you wont be rolling in it.

Damn mate, you rekt him good.

What's it like living with an Anthropology major anyway? I've been doing personal studies on history and archaeology for a lot of my life on this planet and I find it to be one of my passions. So, I've always wondered if it be worth it to major in a Anthropology degree.

Its really quite intriguing and one of the fastest growing fields out there! I want to do Primatology specifically but I am also interested in forensics. I switched from a Biology major and it is the best decision I have made. Lots of research, but its all fun for me
