But doctors aren't even necessarily in the top 10 either, lots of them have payment issues etc. And a general "cap" on how much they're going to get paid, whereas most of the top 10% are big company owners who don't have many limits on what pay they can get for how much work they do.
Plus the idea of poor people only being poor because they don't work as hard is ridiculous. My mom for example, works 12 hour shifts at a hospital where she's constantly working hard and had been climbing up the ladder for 10 years. She got a promotion earlier this year, but because she's "new" in this position her wages are exactly the same as her old job, with simple POTENTIAL to climb.
Oh and she's unionized.
Yet still, she makes GENEROUSLY 40,000 dollars a year. Does that sound about right for a HOSPITAL worker who is UNIONIZED and works 12 hour shifts? 6 AM to 6 PM?
How many other people are working long and hard, possibly harder than many people in the top 10%, but making way less?

Firstly, that depends on what they are doing in the hospital: ie. how many other people can do that job... etc. Aside from that, while I don't know the fact - at least not for certain, but I am under the impression that the top 10% is around 80-250k a year (minus the top 1%). So, what I'm saying is that someone that for example, has a medical degree, a law degree or a PhD in a certain field deserves a hell of a lot more in terms of income in comparison.
I have no idea, what specific profession your mother works as - although looking at the pay, I'm assuming shes not a doctor, probably a nurse? Something that she probably had to go to school for, something she probably had to work hard for. So is it fair that she barely makes 2x the wage of a burger flipper (someone who honestly didnt have to try that hard)?
Also, on the topic of CEOs, we have to ask, how did they get into that position. As in, what risks did they take, did they have any specific skills that allow them to make that make them benefit the company in a certain way. So, if the CEO the board hires, has the ability to make the company billions, why shouldn't his income be tens of millions?

>Implying it's okay for her to be a sociopath because she's a minor.
Also, there's animal control personnel who deal specifically with stuff like rats.
