 Wow, okay, allow me to explain to you what defines generations in a family tree and what first cousins and second cousins are. Now when two brothers have kids with their respective partners, those offspring of two brothers become first cousins. But when those two brothers have first cousins who also have kids, those cousin's kids become the first set of kids second cousins. Hercules and Ariel have a generation gap by means of the fact that he was born in line with her father, not her. It still makes him her uncle, not her cousin.
