i had that to, because i bought and installed the game while it was getting populair,
and i still had the old updating-system.. you need to delete your mc and install it again... try saving your worlds before doing that! (you cant save your achievements though, sadly)

and now it works fine on my compi :J

where can I install it again? And what happens if I have to pay for the damn thing again?

1: Buy an username on the mainserver
2: download the game and the link to your account

you've downloaded the most resent version on that site.. you will have to wait 'till the server updates like i had to :/ i had the same shit with 1.6 or 1.5
