That first picture every time. I have pointed out that it began as 4chan users trying to troll Tumblr back.

Ha, I was literally just on that content went I got your message.
I've been trying to find the tumblr source of that one...never could.
Honestly, it's kind of true? The "body positive" movement on tumblr leaves a lot to be desired. It's basically one "big girl" circle jerk from the looks of it. some people do include men, but they're the small minority.

Yeah. I do think the idea of body positivity is fairly popular on there, but thin privilege isn't mentioned much outside of those circles. I guess it's just that it is something rather different and new makes it taken less seriously to the point where some think it's detrimental to the whole idea. This is Thin Privilege, one of the more popular Tumblr blogs related to this subject, is quite a sucker for troll submissions with things like stealthy media references and not-so subtle portrayal of 4chan copypastas (like a kid sing "Walk the Dinosaur" in one submission). Plus, I think the people who do bring it up just follow everyone else in an odd manner. Ever heard of the term "Diet Culture?" I have never seen it actually discussed; I have mainly seen it on those "kawaii" text posts. Whatever it means, I don't know. Of course, there's how the diet industry is probably not trustworthy and such, but what else is there to it? I'm not a fan of Tumblr's social justice in general, but I think that crowd is especially absurd in certain qualities.
Well diet companies do make a lot of money off of fat people...that being said, they're just meeting a demand.
Criticism for women in magazines is pretty ******* ridiculous. They said about an actoress's boyfriend (I think scarlett johanson maybe?) that he "must be a sociopath" for liking a woman with cellulite. So there is definitely a problem with body image in media, particularly for women, no denying it. And, let's be honest, we just don't see that sort of thing with men. Not to that degree.
One of the things I see a lot on tumblr is "just because I'm big doesn't mean I'm not healthy!" Which...is true...sometimes. Metabolically healthy obese people do exist, however it's not that common- certainly not common enough for everyone who says they are to be telling the truth. Sheer numbers alone tell us that, yes, obesity is a health problem, and, no, your doctor isn't being a bigot for telling you to lose weight for your health.
Skimming over the thin privilege blog, some of those things are like what I mentioned above (You can't blame my weight for medical complications!) and things that I myself have gone through (guys don't like me, waahh).
THAT being said, I don't know what it's like to be fat or have major diet issues. I couldn't accurately tell you what it's like to be fat, or how common those types of occurrences are for them. I've certainly witnessed people turning others, women in particular, into jokes for their bodies...which isn't okay.
Still, there are certainly some measures that the community could take to be a bit less of a joke.

Yeah. TiTP is clearly in favor of women by submissions. I have seen an argument on Tumblr brought up saying that fat men are generally depicted in a better light than fat women in the media, which goes back to the idea of male privilege. To add on to their submissions, some of them have disturbing qualities. There were some deleted posts about the submitter getting urine thrown onto her at a concert, with the latter being where she encountered a thin woman who said that she had her breasts groped there and, IIRC, complained about thin privilege right after bringing that up. It's kind of obvious why that got taken down. Also, another derived term I can think of is "people of size." They probably shouldn't have gone with something that could easily be taken as "piece of **** ."

Hah. I don't know why I even stay here, I literally just see everything I've already seen on my dash twice...or more.
I'm trying to demonstrate that FJ users will just thumb up Tumblr posts for no reason and thay FJ isn't really a filter for Tumblr content. Either they're confused by the image and thumb it up because of the image inside the screenshotted post, or they're not even looking at it (I noted that one notable user did and he told me he just thumbs up most posts these days).
Yeah...the message of that post doesn't really fit the general tone of this whole site, populated as it is with (let's face it) "edgy" white, males.
With the handy dandy green arrow button, it's really easy to thumb up everything. It wouldn't surprise me.

I'm not exactly sure if images like that are still banworthy.

I'm not gay either, but here I am talking about boobs.
Scoop back tees, breeze in the coupe, smiling is your treasure, you're so well put together. <3
Ha ha. I just asked that because your opinions differ a lot from what's usual of the website.
ha, I'm very aware.
The way I look at is this; I don't wish ill on anyone for who they are, and I don't hold a grudge on white, straight men or some **** . I just point out that sometimes they receive benefits that are maybe not so beneficial to people who aren't straight white men. I think sometimes people think I'm criticizing them because they read so many tweets from feminazis. Oh well.

I see. It's just a sort of though that is more common on Tumblr. I'd say we're more like Reddit and 4chan in views.
At best I have ****** webcam shots. But I dunno, it's sort of weird sharing photos because I feel like it makes people feel obligated to say you look good. p:
I...sorta smiled in that picture. I guess.
Yep. Roboticrabbit

But it's not even 3pm! I think I would rather drink a ******* of coffee instead.
I have already begun. I will probably regret this decision.
I'm only 100 pounds so caffeine affects me more strongly than the average person. Also, I tend to work early shifts.
I also look 12. I'm kinda done with being "adorable," though.
Why do I look 12 or why am I done with being adorable? First one, small height and genetics. Second one, because people don't really take me seriously and it definitely doesn't make me feel attractive or anything like that.
I don't know if it's the "looking adorable" thing so much as the "looking 12" thing that bothers me.
I'm about 4'11"-5'

Replying on your old comment because our chain has seemed to reach it's limit.
But yeah, that's true. But just because someone has low self-esteem, doesnt' mean that they are attractive.

Guys always assume girls on the internet are attractive. I'm really not. :'D
And I definitely look 12.
And I definitely look 12.
Well no for many reasons, but the most obvious one is because we are on the internet.
Well there's a person behind the screen right? This could be the start of true love and you're just gonna walk away from it.
